Just wondering:

http://www.steamprices.com/eu2/app/27220/divinity-ii-ego-draconis

lists this as "regular 19.99" and on sale 9.99.

But the price in shop

http://store.steampowered.com/app/27220/

is currently at "regular 49,99" and on sale "24,99".

Is there something wrong, or did they really pull the blatant stunt of more than doubling the base price during the summer sale, making the game at -50% more expensive than before?

If they really did that, i'll not even get the boxed version from the local shop at 14,99 - ...

That is the old version. without the expansion pack, which is supposedly bigger than the origonal game. The newest is " Dragon knights saga "

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, even though that was not the question at hand.

steamprices indeed updated the pricing to what it is on steam now...25 during the sale, rather than 20 as "normal" price before the sale.

I kind of react allergic to publishers/companys trying to fool me in such ways, so i'll pass on Dragon Knight Saga as well now. Unless there's a hefty daily deal(unlikely) i guess i'll check back during christmas sales and see if they are more reasonable.

If they don't WANT to make it cheaper, they don't have to. Steam can't force them. So "accepting" to take part in the sale with -50%, then raising the price to more than double is simply an attempt to fool potential customers. Not something you do.

I'm looking at it right now and its 19.99 regular, 9.99 on sale in the Steam store itself, using the link you gave. (But that is for Divinity 2: Ego Draconis, while Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga 39.99 normal, 23.99 sale)

Like the guy was trying to tell you, you are looking at the wrong game. There is no big conspiracy to rip you off.

Dollar or Euro?
Because in my Shop, the Base game is still 49/25.
So it would Seen that europe indeed gets ripped off once again.

Different regions, different prices. In the EU1 zone the regular price on Steam is 50 Euro, in the EU2 zone it's 20 Euro.

I seem to remember Dragon Knight Saga being on a daily deal at 75% off before for $5. I was hoping to get this if it hit 75% off, thinking it'd be $5, but I'm certainly not getting it at $10 (I have in on OnLive and GameTap)

Yeah, but the point is that this 50 Euro regular price already was at 20 bevor. I remembered it that way and steamprices also listed it as 20 for my region. Now it shows the Updates price of 50 for me.

So yeah, its not a currency or region issue, they more than doubled the price in my Region. Glad its not that way for you guys, but trust me in this not being a mistake on my part.
