(Quick) Bot Match -> Crash

Finally got around to downloading and installing the game

When I select the Quick Bot Match option and attempt to start the match, I get a crash to the desktop (it does say it's sending a crash report). Tried verifying the files, restarted Steam, rebooted. Same thing still happening.

Actually, just tried this and it also happens with a custom bot match: "Nexuiz has encountered a fatal error." (no details of any kind).

Any suggestions?

I'm wondering if you're still having this issue, as bot matches work fine for me. Can you post your PC specs for reference?
