We spotted the following system requirements on South African retailer BT Games’ website. Keep in mind, you should take these requirements with a pinch of salt, as Treyarch has only confirmed dedicated servers for the PC version. Our own PC Expert Jorik speculates that those are the bare minimum specs, not the recommended ones.
There's a big chance that these are not true.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Intel CPU: Celeron E1200 Dual-Core 1.6GHzor
AMD CPU: Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 3600+
Nvidia GPU: GeForce GT 120
AMD GPU: Radeon HD 4550
Ram: 2GB
OS:Windows XP 32bit (or later)
Direct X: DX9
HDD Space: 10GB

1.6GHz Dual Core and GT 120?
No way, even mw2 requirements are higher...
The minimum requirements will be the same as the first Black Ops, i think...

Who knows, they said they are making this game from the ground up on the PC...maybe they are looking for more people to get the ability to play.

It will run great on an Xbox 360.

What this all speculations is all about? The engine is the same, so min. specs will be as in BO or sligthly higher because of added new features. It will be still dx9 compatible game though.

Where did you get those specs from? Certainly isn't from systemreqiorementslab.com, as it isn't listing Black Ops 2 yet.
I would wait for the official word from Treyarch before people go running ahead thinking this "reveal" is official. I very much doubt it is.

The engine isn't EXACTLY the same. They have said, several times in fact, that they have overhauled the engine from top to bottom. It is not only better optimised for PC, but it also features DX11 features hitherto not seen in a Call of Duty game. That means it can't be exactly the same engine, doesn't it? Because if it was, there wouldn't be any DX11 features as the previous iteration of the engine didn't have them.

Hang back a bit there bub. It doesn't feature ALL DX11 features. Just some. So, no running it on "full" DX11; just some.

I was showing the specs for Black Ops I as a comparison...

Yes. And you can turn off this nasty unneeded things like dx11 and play like you want.

That's what I am talking about about added new features. The engine will be generally the same.

Yeah, and it's well needed if those requirements are actually true.

Seriously min specs mean nothing. Who wants to play cod on 800x600, lowest textures, no shadows and every setting on low. Not to mention frame rate still being 15-20
Recommended settings would be more useful, but then again I don't think they will be much different from later cods. Maybe a little lower than in Blops 1 since now the game is(?) getting its own PC dev team instead of just being portted from consoles.

It's not like CoD games are of any eye-candy to begin with. A playable low-graphic game is better than an unplayable low-graphic game.

What an intriguing post. I'm not sure if you're being ironic or, and more scary, serious

Now the game is getting its own PC dev team? But the first Black Ops game had its own PC dev team. PCDev was the head of it. We were told all that the first time, but look how the optimization turned out. God knows how they screwed that one up. Did they do any testing at all the first time?

By "getting its own PC dev team" they mean like 2 people.

Well if this game is anything like Black Ops then that means Intel core I7 2600K overclocked to 4.5.

Requirements:
Plenty of cash for "Insert generic DLC here"
Ability to enjoy mindless shooting.
Enjoy seeing a thousand popups about 1 person you killed / dominated / layed an egg on.
Ability to wait for terrible patching delays and goto forums and whine about ppl who want a patch to fix something in a rushed game.

People, I really need to get this leak of the finished game. I'd love to play Black Ops II right now, like you just did

Neither of Black Ops or MW3 will be a direct copy of BOII
And MW4 doesn't exist, and likely never will since the whole story has been shut down in MW3

OK i made a typo with MW4, None of the others are direct copies the point remains though the game is always more or less the same i think you are in denial though so i won't try to extrapolate any more wisdom from you..

...the point remains though the game is always more or less the same...
Your point that COD games are somehow inferior because they are the same or similar is miss guided. This is like saying, "I liked Mario Cart but I hope the next one isn't a racing game".
I personal like Black Ops so I want to play the second one.
