Radeon 6850, Phenom X4 965 Black Edition, 12GB DDR3 RAM. According to the benchmark I'm getting an average of 60.8fps, with some dips (not sure what causes them - I assume physics or effects) to around 30fps. Everything is maxed, apart from AA and Shadow Filtering, which I turned down to Normal rather than High/Extreme.

Excite!

Well that sounds nice. Too bad there are some fps drop to 30fps because going down 30fps in game is very noticeable. Still a good port it seems : key binding, detail settings, fairly good optimization.

I'm very optimistic about this.

If the framerate does dip down to 30fps id say its a crap port. Lets just hope the dips arent frequent and the problem gets dealt with soon.

Also who are these people that want it to be a crap port? lol

Awesome news! The fact that it needs a GTX 560 for max settings makes me very happy because i have GTX 560 TI TWIN FRONZ2 1 GB OC! It will have amzaing graphics on max settings in dx11 ar 1280x1024 on my pc. Oh and the user who posted this said he has a radeon 6850. Mine GTX 560 TI TWIN FRONZ OC 1 GB is much more powerful than it, rigt? RIGHT?

Do we know in what resolution he was playing on? I will play on 1280x1024 and i am sure i will not have frame drops.

You won't have any problems running at that resolution.

Sounds good and I'm happy that the AMD support seems to be there.

Seems like every time a multi-platform game comes out, some people tend to instantly say "crap port!" before any information or impressions are released. Hopefully, UGF has made a tweakable game and is mod friendly. Also, I don't believe he said if he was running in DX10 or DX11. His gpu is slightly old, too.

You're right though, the framerate dips are a tad troubling but (insert e-♥♥♥♥♥ here) my computer should handle it no problem. Like another poster said, it all depends on what resolution one is playing.

Fully Optimised PC Version, this is what all developers should be doing! :)

I assume he meant those that like to label every multi-platform release a bad port simply because it tends to happen more often than not. Fortunately, this does not seem to be the case with Sleeping Dogs (We'll see once we actually get to play it).

So this means that if I'm archaic and still use XP, I can't play it?

...*sigh* Technology marches ever onward.

Dips down to even 40-45 fps are jarring.

I have a feeling a Radeon 6950 1GB isn't going to run this very well at 1920x1080. My GPU really sucks at anything with this resolution.
