It's hidden gem. The closest PC players will get to having Ninja Gaiden. It's a flamboyantly blatant copy of it, but it's not a bad thing if you really like Ninja Gaiden.

I paid the full $15 when it came out. It was well worth it. Problem was I didn't get it from Steam, instead I got it from the Capcom store. I'm thinking of buying it here, but 1.) I don't need it right now since I'm still focused on Last Remnant, 2.) this would mean I paid $20 since I'd be buying it twice.

I'll just wait for Rearmed 2 and hope the pre-order gives Rearmed 1 for free.

Trust me when I say there are people who are offended by the slightest thing. Oh no, you alluded to a holiday that is only celebrated in America etc. There was a thread a while ago that blew way out of proportions because Valve had a Halloween sale. Personally, a sale is a sale to me. Cheap games = win. Thumbs up if you agree.

Soon Halloween will be regionally restricted and I will have to hide my pumpkins from the Police.

So yeah, thumbs up for the "a sale is a sale." Let them make as many sales as they want, sure hasn't done me no harm. Well... apart from me being broke and only eating bread for a couple of weeks.

Solution: Let Valve add a box to Steam which says: "If you do not wish to see holiday sales from holidays which orignated from outside your own country, then please check here." Their loss, not mine. I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to get a sale because of this. Or at least I do not see it as enough of a reason.

Too bad there probably won't be many more of these big sales, well atleast this big. Like "The Steam exclusive monthly sale!" or something, since people would just stop buying so much, they'd get too used to the sales and have no reason to "grab'em while you can," which would obviously be bad for business.

Sparkey

"If you do not wish to see holiday sales from holidays which orignated from outside your own country, then please check here."

To be fair, that would exclude Halloween if you're American, too ;)

I can only think of one major holiday that originated in America: Thanksgiving. There might be more, but I don't know em. :)

paratech2008

Easter = spring sale, 4th July = Summer sale, Halloween = Autumn sale, Black Friday = ???, Christmas = Holiday sale.

Why care anyways about what the sale is called, its not like calling a sale a religious holiday sale means it has anything to do with religion. I'm sure there are Muslims, Jews, Atheists, and others who give and receive Christmas gifts.

My recommendation :

Drawn: The Painted Tower (http://store.steampowered.com/app/51060/) . A very good Hidden Object Game .

- website (http://www.drawngame.com/games/the-painted-tower)

-one hour trial , non - steam (http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/6098/drawn-the-painted-tower/download.html) .

Big Fish Games released the sequel called Drawn: Dark Flight

- website (http://www.drawngame.com/games/dark-flight)

- Collector's Edition , one hour trial , non - steam (http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/8804/drawn-dark-flight-collectors-edition/download.html)

- regular version , one hour trial , non - steam (http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/8927/drawn-dark-flight/download.html)

Aura891
01-20-2011, 11:05 AM
Yeah... no

...Actually, there's tons, and tons, and tons of them who do, are they hardcore into their religion/lack or religion? probably not if they are celebrating christmas (by giving/receiving gifts for that specific holiday), but doesn't mean they aren't a different religion or have lack of religion

paratech2008
01-20-2011, 11:59 AM
Giving gifts at Christmas or candy to kids on Halloween has no religious significance.

Getting deals on Steam has no religious significance regardless of the holiday.

If Valve wanted to have sales on Islamic or Jewish holidays it wouldn't bother me, although it might bother Muslims or Jews.

I don't know. I still have games from the last sale that still need to be played. Only completely one so far. :(

Not just that for me, I've changed my philosophy on playing games. I used to buy all kinds of games and only play them for a short amount of time until I was over playing the game.

Now, I've changed and want to completely play the game. Look around and see everything the developers have to offer. Get my money's worth.

Unfortunately I'm still buying like my previous gaming philosophy.

I think I have 50+ games in my steam library that I haven't played all the way through yet.

I'm going to have to work on that.

And no, I've never played Puzzle Agent, I was told either by a review or by a friend of mine that it was a bit short for the price. But I do love Telltale, quality company.

Yeah. As I suggested to a friend who was thinking about it: wait until you see another $5 sale on the base version of WoW. Play that as a pseudo-single player ARPG for the free month you get with it. Better experience than Numen. And the limited time free subscription isn't an issue since Numen only has about ten hours of game play.

That's a link to a review that didn't have a big publisher pouring ca$h into their pockets to get a high score. This is also an MMO, so a review from launch isn't going to cover all the updates and expansions that molded the game to what it is now.

Here's a link to the Global Agenda (http://store.steampowered.com/app/17020) page with a demo (http://store.steampowered.com/app/17020) that is basically the full game, but restricts you from leveling past 15 I believe. Play it and judge for yourself.

I would actually looking forward to that. It's become the only way for me to play the CoD games these days. I have CoD4, but that stupid Punkbuster crap keeps giving me problems so I quit.
You need to disable the steam overlay to play cod4 on steam or else PB will kick you out. On a related note I wouldn't recommend anyone to get cod bo since the game is way below compared to cod4 (quality, balance and performance wise cod4 wins).

WNxFusionGamerX

Yep they did the King Arthur base game + all the DLC in order to promote the new DLC piece called The Druids, for those of us who already have the pack from xmas this means we are paying more for the single DLC than those who pay for the complete pack which HAS druids included.....that's just dumb, new DLC should not have been included...what a rip off...

Edit - Europa Universalis 3 did it properly (all discounted except newest DLC piece + the new DLC was solo/individual and not part of a pack)

Only reason I did buy Druids was because it was £8 rather than Divine Wind at £15

So glad I checked Slickdeals (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=2639605)today, got Metro 2033 for free.

Just a heads up! ;)

Got my order in, but says processing, so I may not get a key, and just now it changed to say this: "Currently Not Available".

Thanks though :).

EDIT: Now it says:

"Error:
We are unable to perform the selected action. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Error Number: SIT_000002"

EDIT 2: I just got an email saying my key is ready, but the key is not there (at findmyorder), but the download link is, and the order now says completed, so maybe they switched from giving out keys and are using a digitalriver drm? or maybe they just did this to release the orders without giving a key? I guess there's only one way to find out.

Bah, someone just posted: "Download is useless..Installs steam, and while installing Metro, asks for a CD Key", oh well.

EDIT 3: From a poster on slickdeals: "Looks like Steam has killed the deal, all keys are dead, the game is uninstalled automatically as well."

All keys from that promo/glitch are now invalid, the game is no longer in my games list and the downloaded content was deleted automatically from my HDD. Account is still in good standing, tho.

I'll take this as a reminder of how much control steam has over my account and "my" games (even when I'm logged in) and that I'm just renting games for very cheap prices.

Oh, well...It was fun while it lasted.

But the stupid thing is, the WInter Assualt item doesn't exist except in packages where it's £40 or £40 down from £80 (ROFLMAOCOPTER). So they're trying to rip people off with non-existent packages bumping up the price.

Based on this (http://www.supercheats.com/guides/tom-clancys-hawx-2)information, there is 20 missions, another site suggested that it adds up to about 4-5 hours gameplay with no DLC, the source makes no mention of what difficulty that applies to, I'm assuming the multi-player and co-op were the main focus.

Why ?

Because 9 out of 10 sales are US/UK only. I just don't even bother to look anymore.

Not just EU but the rest of the world as well. They only love yanks and brits.

It seems they are locking themselves out of many markets.

I asked me the same. After reading and watching some reviews, I will wait for a Xmas-sale. I would not spend 30€ for it, only 15€ with dlc included. In my opinion it is like the first HAWX game. These new mission types, where you can control an UAV, look simple and boring to me.

You don't even need to use their service, just buy Steamworks titles and activate the games on Steam.

As I said earlier, you can shop in both the US and the UK stores at D2D from anywhere in the world, I'm buying their games from South America with US and UK prices.

Already tried at several games and I couldn't...
Also that's the reason I never got any game there and I don't even bother looking when they got a sale.

Why would I buy anything when it automatically says 'Error: Sale/Game X is Country restricted on your IP.' ?

You're obviously not in Europe, I've followed their service for a while and I can honestly say I don't give a crap about D2D anymore. They're completely ignoring the EU.

Yeah, D2D recently started IP locking accounts to the location used when the account was made. Which is also why I stopped using them.

Yeah, having gotten the Eidos pack back in 2009 holiday sale, the only games I might be interested in are Gyromancer, Last Remnant, and JC2 - for $2.50 each.

Thank you for this offer, but i have to pass it.
SecureROM on Steam? Nah.
1€=1$? Yok, right.
GFWL? Brrr, never again i will install that crap on my computer.

While i am kinda eager to buy a new interesting game, this offer is just not for me. And a whole week of ovepriced games? That is just terrific. Can't wait for next week. Maybe something worth buying on Steam after a long time?

For some reason Last Remnant is not included in the Square complete pack but the weird thing is that it's on the picture above the titles o.0, i hope it will be discounted, it's the only game from Square Enix that i need and haven't bought on a previous sale.

PC gaming isn't dying, that's BS. Besides, there is nothing wrong with a good console port, like in this case. The game is well optimised, mouse/keyboard controls are good and it looks amazing, obviously a lot better than on the consoles.

Don't know. Maybe because some of the titles are restricted, although shows up at the package list? Like Final Fantasy XI (not available here on Brazil, but shows up in the package, without a release date)
