I'm getting this problem with people models. It didn't happen when I first got the game, but I'm not really sure when it started. I'm not sure if I did anything to cause this, but it's kind of weird. It looks like the skins aren't meshing or something, and also the characters animate extremely twitchilly, and they sort of jitter at random.

ahh, his neck opened up, and he bled down on his shirt there!

ok, sorry to joke about your problem... what are your system specs?
did you mod HL2 in any way? (place anything in the "steam/steamapps/half-life 2/hl2" directory)

Windows Vista Home Premium
AMD Athlon 64-bit Processor
ATI Radeon x1600 Graphics
2 GB RAM
240 GB HDD

Yeah, I've extracted all of the materials/models/sounds/etc. from episode 1 and CS:S into the HL2 folder... and now that I say it, that's probably the problem. I'll reinstall HL2 and get back to you.

EDIT: Yeah, it was my fault, something I did with the copying and what-not screwed it up, I just got rid of the local content and reinstalled, it's fine now.
