do you you mean just select all of the guns in the map at once? The best way i know of is to just go to the "map" toolbar and click entity report, it'll show you all entities in your map, you can just scroll down to the weapon_ entities.

I think he means that he wants to select specific objects and group them with ctrl+G... Of course, in order to select the group you need "ignore grouping," or in other words, the "ig" button, off (ctrl+W)

Ok I will try that zyklus. So after i turn on ignore grouping i just hold shift and click on each object i want to group?

Yes, then press ctrl+G to put them in a group. (Ctrl+click to add to/remove from selection) Turn off "ignore groups" to select the group and its objects. Alternatively, you can use visgroups. Do the same, only, instead of ctrl+G, press alt+enter, and select the "Vis Group" tab, and add a new vis group for your entities. Then if you want to select the group, select the group in the visgroups tool window, then press "Mark".

You hold CTRL and click each item. Alternatively you can draw a box around the items with the selection tool. Though that is much harder as you may grab stuff you don't want. (In which case just CTRL click the unwanted items to deselect only those.) Then CTRL+G to group your selection.

zyklus, you have to be careful... PWNstar may have the 'allow grouping if ignore groups is on' option UNCHECKED. if that's the case he may get fumbled up following your exact instructions. by the way... i never turn 'ignore groups' on when i'm making groups, only if i need to select individual objects from within a group.

Ah, I've forgotten about that. Oh well, I prefer using visgroups over regular grouping anyways.

That allows you to select multiple objects. Once they are selected you can press CTRL + G to add them to a group. Also there is 3 buttons on the toolbar at the top of Hammer that can create/destroy groups as well as ignore them (ig button).
