Im trying to make a skin för the INS mod. Im trying to replace the M249
but there is about 10 LODs that need to be compiled in this model. Then I try to compile the .qc file i get:
ERROR: Too many LODs (MAX_NUM_LODS== 8 )
ERROR: Aborted Processing on 'weapons\v_mach_m249.mdl'

Is there any way to compile this any way? Can I increase the maximum number of LODs?

Im using GUIStudioMDL 2.1. Is there any other program that can compile with more LODs?

And I wont remove some of the LODs. Why? Well, in one lod there is 10 bullets. And then you got 9 bullets left it will change so there is 9 bullets visible and then you have 8 bullets left it will show you 8 bullets on the belt.

You wouldn't compile those as LODs afaik. If you're sure that's how the Insurgency team do it they must be using a modified studiomdl.exe, as the source is included in the SDK.

Well, Im not sure.
$model "bullets" "m249_10bullets.smd"
$lod 0
replacemodel "m249_10bullets" "lod1_m249_10bullets"

Thats the part from the .qc file for the LOD with 10 bullets.
There is something about replacemodel "m249_10bullets" "lod1_m249_10bullets".
But there is no model m249_10bullets. just an .smd file. Is supposed be an model in the model or what? :S

And how do I modify so I can compile with more LODs?
