If anyone knows a good weapon tutorial for XSI and Source SDK could you please tell me.

More specifically though when I tried to make a world model in XSI I had some trouble creating the bone so that the characters hands would be correct.

Also for the view model is there any special options needed because I couldn't find any tutorials on it. Also do I have to make the hands from scratch or is there some type of template or something.

Note: I have experience in 3DS MAX and Maya but I'm new to XSI. I can do intermeddiate modelling and UVs but I still don't have much experience in the animation/bone systems

The worldmodel tutorial on valves website says in XSI you have to parent the bone BIP01_R_Hand to the node ValveBiped yet I cannot seem to figure out how to do this.

Also is there a "Gordon Hand/Arm Template" for viewmodels or does each project just make their own set?

Uh, Yeah there is a template. Both Skeleton and Mesh, it should be located in
"Steam\Steamapps\<AccountName>\sourcesdk_content\hl2\modelsrc\weapons\v_hands"

Of course that's the model for the hands when you first get the HEV suit, but it's a good template.

Hope that helps :)
