I'm pretty sure L.A. Noire isn't out for the pc otherwise I would've bought it already. Although if I'm wrong feel free to correct me.

Valve has the money to make it happen. If they want a GOOD excuse for delaying Episode 3, they'd pay Rockstar to port it.

Super Puzzle Fighter II!

It was announced as a release title back in 2007 when Capcom jumped on board with Steam. Sadly it seems like plans for a port went away. It would be fantastic though, such a great game.

I would buy pretty much every Origin Systems title if they were available on Steam.

Particularly:

1. Wing Commander series (including Privateers 1&2, and Armada)
2. Ultima series (especially 6+7)
3. Crusader series

Also, from other developers:

1. Quest for Glory series
2. Leisure Suit Larry series
3. Police Quest series
4. Betrayal at Krondor, Betrayal at Antares, Return to Krondor
5. Arcanum
6. X-wing and Tie Fighter series
7. Knights of the Old Republic 2
8. Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption
9. System Shock 1 & 2
10. Star Trek: 25th Anniversary
11. Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Final Unity

I would purchase all of these games in a heartbeat.

I cannot see this happening in the near future since Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo control their respective markets. Why would they allow Valve to have a store when they can have it all? :(

Won't happen. Although given that Microsoft made their debut, who's to say that Blizzard won't follow suit? Then again, i imagine that even if Blizzard was to sell on Steam, you'd still need a battle.net account.

FF7 and 8 [as well as obviously 11 and 14] are already on the PC, but the PC itself isn't very popular at all in Japan - it's very much an industry based around consoles over there - so it's unlikely we'll ever see a single-player Final Fantasy again. The closest we've got is The Last Remnant; but that was ported only because it sold terribly on the 360 and its Unreal Engine routes allowed for an easy porting process.

Valve themselves won't pay Square-Enix to put their games on a platform - the idea is ridiculous...

It's probably been mentioned before but I cannot read this entire thread to find out. I'd love to see all of the old Infinity Engine RPGs come to Steam. I know GOG has them but I'd like to see them here as well. These are the games I'm talking about:

Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast
Baldur's Gate II and Throne of Bhaal
Planescape Torment
Icewind Dale and Heart of Winter
Icewind Dale II

Additionally I'd like to see:

Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition
Knights of the Old Republic 2
Quake 4
Battlefield 1942 Complete Edition
All currently available Blizzard Games

I think all of the above would sell well for Steam assuming it is possible to get a deal going with the publishers of these titles. I imagine Steam is proactive in trying to bring titles to the service so I hope some effort will be made to get these ones added.

Thanks for considering the suggestions.

Two requests.

First, Hellgate Global (http://hellgate.t3fun.com), the free-to-play online version of Hellgate: London. (There were hints dropped that it'll include other areas, like Tokyo.) Having this on Steam will encourage more people to try it out.

Second, more freebies like TMNF (http://store.steampowered.com/app/11020/?snr=1_4_4__13) and Alien Swarm (http://store.steampowered.com/app/630/?snr=1_5_9__13). Now, I'm not asking for entire libraries of games to be made free, just a few more would be nice. I'd also like for them to be a little easier to locate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Another_World_(video_game)

I would really love to see this game come to Steam as it is probably one of my, if not THE, pick for "Best Game Ever." The sense of wonder, story and honest-to-God empathy for the characters and their plight in this game borders on art. Cinematic well beyond it's time with pacing and imagery which hold up to this day, Another World continues to influence game designers and their games many years after it's initial release.

I know that in the last few years, this game has also been re-tooled for more current operating systems and graphics capabilities.

Valve, please add this game to your library. It's truly a gaping hole in an amazing library of titles. Even though I own several copies of it for various platforms (including two updated versions for Windows), I would buy this again in a heartbeat just to have it here in my Steam collection.

By the way, I believe Eric Chahi himself announced at the GCC'11 conference that a development house (DotEmu) is working on an iOS port of the game so there's the possibility of this not only being available to Windows users but Mac gamers as well!

i really only want Steam to focus on older PC games, i don't much care for ports of older console games, considering i've got consoles for those purposes. what i don't have is a pc that will run most old PC games.

I am curious as to whether or not it would be possible to bring Touhou (http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Touhou_Project) to steam...

Also, i still would like to suggest using the money that would have been poured into Episode 3 to pay Tetsuya Nomura to develop games for the PC. I mean, if Valve intends to delay HL2Ep3, at least do it for the right reasons. PC gaming isn't in the best condition, and I'm convinced that it would take bringing biggest console franchises to the PC in order to save it.

I hope this thread is actually read and isn't just a cheap way to stop users from flooding the board with threads. :(

TL;DR? Please include the MMOFPS World War II Online.

Onto the post,

It's been asked before, but it needs to be asked again: Please add World War II Online (http://www.battlegroundeurope.com/) to Steam!

What's WWIIOL?
It's a tactical MMOFPS w/ realistic & simulation elements which is set during the invasion of Eastern Europe in early World War II.

In this game players join a country (England, France or Germany) and fight a persistent war (or campaign) that's fought 24/7. The goal is for either Germany to occupy Eastern Europe (by capturing towns), or for England and France to successfully ward off attacks and eventually push Germany out. Each campaign runs for several weeks, even months at a time.

What's there to do?
Well, there's many roles to play. If you're an avid fan of planes there are many to choose from - both fighters and bombers. If you like playing on the ground there are infantry and ground units (such as tanks and AA/AT guns) to choose. There's even naval vessels you can command (though I'll be honest they are severely lacking).

Keep in mind this is a tactical game. For example, each weapon has a range input and when operating vehicles it's practically necessary to use a joystick.

Here's a fan-made trailer that shows what the game has to offer. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOoS0AVQIAo) Though I should note it's several years old and is quite outdated - which by that I mean they've dramatically updated the graphics.

I understand this being a niche game that it won't meet the population and income of other MMOs.. but come on, it can't be any worse than some of the games I've seen. :p

I still would like to suggest that Valve should pay money to get these console games ported to the PC, as it would be in my opinion, a right reason to continue the delaying of Episode 3. If possible, perhaps these should be brought to the PC:

-Final Fantasy XIII
-Final Fantasy XIII 2
-Final Fantasy versus XIII
-LA Noire
-Mortal Kombat 9

Both of these games RULED my childhood.

Time Splitters 1, 2, and Future Perfect. All three cult classics that would make oodles of money for Steam.(Seeing how the new rumor is there will be a fourth one on the new Xbox).

And Megaman Legends 1 and 2, the cult classics that arguably are the best Megaman Games of all time. The third one is currently in Beta stage.

@JokersFlame (Post #2615): Lol. I'd think TimeSplitters would need to be re-made for PC because I really don't think they'd run too well for most people on the current PS2/GC/XBOX Emulators (they run fine for me - Though TS3 on PCSX2 kinda struggles). Waiting on TS4 myself.

Would be nice to see them remade for PC & made available on Steam though no doubt.

Valve will have to pay Square-Enix a lot of money in order for this to happen. Seeing that I've lost faith in Half-Life 3, i think that this would be a good reason to further delay that game.

Valve doesn't pay for developers/publishers to get their games on Steam. They contact Valve, send their game, Valve evaluates it and decides if it gets on Steam or not. If the game isn't submitted or wanted to be sold on Steam, then it won't be.

Square-Enix will decide which games they want on Steam.

No they wouldn't, in fact it would put more money into SE's pocket if they brought the series to Steam. Cause there are a lot of people like me who don't MMO and love the series.

Why I do not MMO? After years of WoW what do those Gamers have to show for it? I have hard copies of the games I buy unless it's on Steam and even then I can call up my Games page and have something tangible. Games aren't a waste of time unless you're pouring money down a hole for one(or heaven forbid MORE) game. Then not only is it a waste of time but money.;)

In any case the FF franchise could be brought out dusted off and added to the Catalogue. Steam will certainly charge a cheap premium that would easily pay anything that SE should demand for the ability to fluff their Developer catalogue. If for no other reason than to make us loyal FF players happy.:D

Tetsuya Nomura seems to hate our sorry guts, but I do believe that with the money that could've been used to develop Half-Life 3, they could easily bring the Final Fantasy franchise to the PC.

Let's face it, PC gaming is walking up a slippery slope, and Valve ain't making Half-Life 3. As I've said before, I can imagine both PC gaming and Valve benefiting from this, as PC gamers will be happy about having excellent games that they normally wouldn't get, and Valve has more excuses to delay HL3!

OK, I thought of two games that would be pretty neat:

An "Infocom Complete Pack": A mega-pack that contains much of Infocom's text adventures (including Zork series, Leather Goddesses of Phobos, Planetfall, all that stuff) for a relatively cheap price.

Angry Birds: I'm surprised it isn't here. Too "casual" for the Steam crowd?

A "Maxis Complete Pack": Like how Activision Blizzard could pillage its back catalog, the Maxis back catalog could be dusted off. The only regrets I have is that things like SimCity 2000 (et. al.) had vastly inferior PC versions to the original Mac version, so it might not be so great after all.

If possible, Valve should pay lods of emone to Netherrealm Studios to bring Mortal Kombat to the PC, and make the Demoman a PC exclusive character.

Here's a note:
It's not VALVe's job to add games to their Steam service and done.
Adding all the said games and more to Steam would clutter them with paperwork, business, some profit maybe, trying to come into an agreement with the company that made the game, maybe paying the company for rights to add the game to Steam, etc. The most part being, adding so many games would clutter the servers up with data, along with the Steam Cloud data and others, the servers would become nastily laggy and VALVe would end up needing MORE servers.

So basically this thread is pretty dumb and useless.

Well, the XBox360 port is done by a third party.

But you are right, the game is nearing it's final stage. It already got a release date, for November 2011. But this has nothing to do with the XBox360 version, the release date was announced before the port.

Duality ZF needs to be added to Steam. I heard Valve rejected Xona Games' other title Score Rush, and now that XBLIG devs are migrating to Steam due to their games selling poorly on XBL, I think you guys need to give Xona another chance.
