When I have my guitar controller plugged in, it's always the one that the game uses.
So even if my gamepad is synched as controller #1, if the gamepad is the only controller signed in to a profile, and if I launch the disc using the gamepad, the Orange Box main menu still uses the guitar controller (so my gamepad can't even be used to choose from the 5-game menu).
Signing out and back in of my profile with the controller while in the game menu has no effect (as it usually does with other games that detect a change of sign-in status).
The only solution is to exit back to dashboard, unplug the guitar and relaunch the game.
