It makes a while I didn't urse source SDK and when I tried to open it, it just doesn't want to open, when I try to open it, I see the download schedule, but when it finished nothing appears:confused: . I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it doesn't work. I tried to look what can be the mistake, I don't know if it's normal but when I look to the latest updates it says last updates was august 4, 2006. If it's an update problem how I'm supposed to correct this? Or if it's not, if anyone knows the problem tell me.

You need to go into the tools section of steam, select SourceSDK, and change the launch options by adding: -engine ep1 to the launch options if you don't have the orangebox version. This will allow SDK to run for Half Life 2, HL2DM, and episode 1. I had your exact problem, and it set my able to run. I would also suggest when you do get it running, go into hammer options and turn off vgui model viewer, as of last night, it will crash hammer if you don't have orangebox. External model viewer worked ok for me, and if you compile models, must be open to allow compiling for now, this fix, found somewhere else, also worked for me.
