Valve has your money already. And they hate programming for consoles, even if the console is similar in architecture to the PC. So I wouldn't hold your breath.

Valve only seems to hate the PS3 as gave it to EA to port it but the 360 is getting some love actually.
Though, you won't be getting those new Achievements as they pushed their 50 achiements to 100 achievements on the Orange Box and won't get anymore.
I don't know about gameplay changes because how many console games gets that? :/ Well I have yet to hear about one. Maybe it has something to do with Microsoft being to greedy or something, they already have a 10 day waiting time for the a patch to become "ready" or something like that.

Valve already has the money of those who brought the PC version yet they are still developing updates and new maps for them.
I'll let you in on a little secret; developers like to develop even if it's on a different platform. If fact, a lot of developers like the experience of learning a different platform.
Yes, it seems that Valve has handed off the PS3 development to EA but that may have been more of a business decision based on available resources and (lack of) experience with the different PS3 architecture. It may have not been the best choice for Valve.
I believe that Valve listens to reasonable criticism and if you own one of the console versions, tell them politely what you like and don't like. Even if they don’t/won’t/can’t take action on your feedback, at least they will (probably) have a better understanding of the problems for their future console titles.

A little late for that don't you think. You don't put out a half-finished product in hopes of possible patching at some future date, than once that future date comes and goes... you blame MS certification on it.
Most people put this down in October, mid-2008 seems a little late.
640k isn't exactly setting the world on fire with sales, not horrible but with 5 games and countless commericals on TV you have to think that EA as the publisher has to be kind of disappointed.
Finish the game next time.

Maybe because they ain't such heartless ???????s that console people seems to think.
Things take time so be patient, CSS users havn't really gotten any updates in several months that have been big. Plus I bet they are busy with L4D right now.
it will come to the 360 sooner or later, microsoft makes it a pain in the ???? to get updates through and to live.

Than don't put a game out that has these issues. Like I said, 640k isn't exactly setting sales records... to late now.
Valve think beyond the 'first week' - they still patch issues in half-life from time- to time and that was released 10 years ago... The inability to do 'instant' fixes on consoles, which they can do on Steam is an issue for them, and one that must frustrate them. The changes they're discussing for TF2 on PC are experimental - they can't really do that on a console as they might have to wait a month to tweak a few settings while the patch is certified...

That defense does not explain the other problems with the game other than new maps and tweaks like you mentioned. I can think of no excuse, if they update in a year... I guess that's cool... I assure you most console gamers ditched this in October so it's just a little late. Valve doesn't seem concerned, oh well, other great games to play.
I actually played got into 5 games last night, got disconnected from all of them.... of course the lag was unbearable anyway.

So you played TOB with other people playing TOB even though "most console gamers ditched this in October" and it's "too little, too late".
Of course, had you accepted my friend request from two months ago, you'd be having fun with the rest of us even though we have apparently "ditched this in October".
Of course, you could also look here:

and/or here to find some joy:
TF2 AFTER WORK SPECIAL - http://forums.xbox.com/17839904/ShowPost.aspx
We even do silly carp like:
Melee competition 1/27/08. Win 1600 points - http://forums.xbox.com/18000000/ShowPost.aspx
and
All soldier competition 2/10/08. Win 1600 points. - http://forums.xbox.com/18184527/ShowPost.aspx
You have some valid opinions and I'll be the first person to admit to people that there are problems. However, I and a lot of other people still manage to have a lot of fun and we still encourage Valve to fix things and make it better.

Very well said Zoomer. I need to hit you up with a friend request as I am someone who is also still getting a lot of enjoyment out of this title in its current state. Is Zoomer4321 your GT?

Yes, my GT is Zoomer4321. I've listed myself in the reliable host list and I often volunteer to host the After Work Special people looking to get together for a game. It’s a nice community and the people are a lot of fun. It’s a little more active there so check it out: http://forums.xbox.com/733/ShowForum.aspx
