How do you make a new weapon? I want to choose how it looks in-game, how do I do it?
You need some kind of Modeling program. Do you know any?
There are a lot of different kinds out there. XSI mod tool is what Steam has gotten with Softimage.
Though i am not a perfect modeler, i use Maya PLE (personal learning edition). It is free, and so is the XSI. You will have to choose which one to learn if you know neither of them. I don't know XSI so i can't really say if it is easy or not.
And then there is a lot more you have to do. But that is what you need first.

I messed around with modeling, I used 3ds max 7, back in the day.
I wasn't very good at texturing or modeling in that matter.
But it's the same as everything, stick to it and it becomes simpler.

I suck badly at texturing! I need to improve, but it is hard to make something look great sometimes.
I love 3ds max. But you can only get a free version of it for 30days. I could get it for about $400 for the student version, but like i have that money.
I recently learned Maya for school, so i use that one. I hate the watermark, but i can deal with it.
