Hey all,
Anyone know how to get this game to work? I have M2TW and Kingdoms, both bought through Steam and neither will work at all. I tried renaming the launcher.exe file, and I also tried installing the dotnet redist and directx sdk. No suggestions I've tried on this forum work at all. I have over 100 Steam games and this is the only one that doesn't work. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Are they working on a fix?

did you download and install the directx sdk? its a pain being its a 400 mb file but it worked for me. download that and install . install .net 1.1. thats what got my game working. iwas having issues with the game saying preparing to launch then nothing would happen.

Just so you know, I installed the new Steam client released today on my laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) and that appeared to fix my issues. No messing with Launcher.exe or anything! Original and all expansions working just fine.
Try updating the Steam client to the latest version and see if that fixes things. If not, you may need to install .net 1.1 - be sure and install the service pack too.
I'm hopeful that the new client has fixed things but if people have gotten it to work could they let us know. And if you're still having issues, definitely get back here and let people know.
