Well, i just modified the Intro with Source SDK, not a Mod.
Its the Valve Map, there is a very hidden room, and in there is gman with very much cameras and logic_auto which changes the fov zoom. So its possible even to make a zombie as intro and he talks like gman :D. I can do that if you all want it, zombie talks :D (Maybe i should add Dr.Breen?if poss.)

Soon, games will no longer exist as physical objects that you own but rather a digital right to play the game. Game contents will also be strictly controlled by the owner (aka the publisher) of that game.

EA is heading that way with Origin, Activision is milking the hell out of the CoD franchise already and any other popular titles they own and same with Blizzard for WoW and any other subscription based game.

Usually, you have rights to decline a patch or an update to your hardware, patches used to be applied manually instead of automatically and even if it's automatic it give you a choice to update or not. This is due to the fact that some people don't want to update their machine in fear of the patch being buggy/glitchy or apply unwanted alteration to the machine. In this case, the patch update his dashboard so that it contain an unwanted advertisement for an addon that he did not care for.

In programing there's such thing as beta releases and stable releases for programs. The latest stable release mean the patch is the latest and is proven to be stable and not glitchy, the beta contain more fixes but may causes problems to the program or machine so it's more for advanced users and those that don't care much for the risk.

What the guy didn't like was the fact that the game FORCES this Xbox to update without his consent and FORCES him to an agreement to make an account and share his information in order to continue on playing the game which he did not want to do.

If you honestly think that things will ever move back in the opposite direction again, I think you are kidding yourself.

I don't think enough people understand that the gaming industry has moved from it's more humble roots into the multi-billion dollar industry it is today.

That means it's going to be full of executives and suits who don't have a clue about the actual product they make.. nor do they care. They only care about the bottom line, and increasing their market share.

Piracy is an issue still that is a big concern in much of the industry. They want to take more and more control from us as a means of trying to stop it.

Blame the pirates and bad people. Because it's the way of anything else in life. Their bad actions ruin things for everyone else, and it never goes back to how it was.

Bad people and idiots are the real cause of restrictions and regulations.

You pay more for insurance due to fraud. You pay more for products due to theft.

You get safety labels and legal disclaimers on everything because some fool hurt themselves or made a big legal problem.

There are laws prohibiting you from doing things that were legal, because someone took advantage too far, selfishly, and ruined it for everyone else.

It's just the way of the world. Things always start out all idealistic and pure. And then bad people take advantage of it, and force restrictions onto everyone else by their actions.

And it's fairly naive to just expect the gaming industry is ever going to roll over and give up on these concerns.

There are multiple ways to deal with piracy without harming the physicality of a game title that YOU BOUGHT AND OWN. As of right now, some of the games you are playing are not owned by you but rather you giving the publisher the money to be granted access to the game.

This is how Blizzard is handling WoW as of right now, the account you have is owned by them and they may terminate it at any given time for any given reason. Of course, it's to deal with a small number of users, if you look at that news article, the police tracked down a criminal through his WoW account. How did the police gain such information? Well, blizzard gave them access to those information of the criminal's record and the police was able to track him down.

As for Activision and it's call of duty franchise, doesn't anyone ever stop to think paying $15 for 4 maps might be a ripoff? Or question the contents that might just as well be unlocks from the game disk? How do you know if the contents you're paying for is legitimate extra contents instead of access unlock?

Personal information and entitlement of the physical product that you purchase with your own money is the issue here. Digital control of content is the main culprit, since your personal information is now digitized, your game is completely digitized and your control of your content is also digitized and is beyond your reach as a physical human being. If i bought a piece of software and I want my file content to remain as it is, there should be options for that. If I bought a game, I shouldn't be forced to disclose my information to the game company or else i can't play the game. That's what not gaming is about, gaming is about popping in a disk or cartridge and then play the game, no crazy account set up, no nothing.

Just the other day when my internet was down and I was itching to play some Red Faction, I couldn't, you know why? Because I CANT ACCESS MY SAVE FILE WITHOUT AN INTERNET ACCESS! I can't play the damn game because of "Games for Windows Live", and it's bullcrap.

It might be naive to think that the industry is going to change it way without giving a fight. But it's even more naive to discard the concern and act as if nothing's happening. What's going on right now is changing games for the worst in my opinion, since no one is given any right over their control of their game contents anymore, almost everything is owned by the corporation even after you paid money for the product.

Something is happening, just not a lot of people are realizing it. There's more negativity at the look of it for me though. I'm the type of gamer who inspects a game carefully when I buy it, I'm not the kind that throw my wallet away blindly after seeing an amazing trailer for a game. I'm not a 12 year old nor am I a sheep.

That being said, I care more about the game than just the gameplay itself. If there are hidden motives behind the game to get me to pay more money than I normally would for a game or make me do something without giving me a choice to say "no", then that right there is just going to give me a foul taste in the mouth and I'd rather not buy a game to contribute to that kind of madness, no matter how good it look.

Me and a friend are doing a youtube series on minecraft, were doing some survival and also doing some adventure maps every so often so there is abit of everything we are doing. i wouldnt say they are the best videos but they alright. The first few i recorded in a strange resolution so there is a border. I think its about part 9-10 i fixed it and they went to 360p.
Any i record form know on will be in 720p as i changed tools and editing software...

I love how it takes 30 minutes to speed run Half Life but you can get through any modern FPS, like Bulletstorm, in the same amount of time, by playing it normally.

He's good at bunnyhopping, but there are obviously better, you should check out quake de-frag movies, the original bunnyhoppers :P


But doing something like this is very time consuming, you need to find the best ways to do each part of the level, not mess up, remember enemy spawns.. etc, and for such a lengthy game it takes a while to remember, I wonder what difficulty it was done on though.
