Five Stages of Brony Development.

Not everyone will end up being a brony, but I find this video quite funny and semi accurate for me. Though I went throught the stages pretty fast.

Stage 1 for me occured when I first heard about the show from shows like thatguywiththeglasses... I basically ignored it because of the past history which is associated with the name "My Little Pony".

Stage 2 for me was not really anger.. I never heard of MLP: FiM outside of TGWTG or REV3 so I didn't know about flamewars and the like that had developed since the show came out. I guess I just don't surf the right websites and forums.

Stage 3. After watching 2 reviews from TGWTG and DeathBattle, I said to myself, ok if all these people are talking about it, then there must be a reason. So I decided to see what it was all about.

Stage 4: I wasn't depressed, but I would say I was weirded out. I was watching it and began liking it, but felt ashamed, especially when the girly theme song started playing. I kept saying, " I can't believe I'm watching this." much less liking it.

Stage 5: I accepted that I like it. Finding support in the funny internet memes, fan videos and pics that I have found online. I have since gotten my girlfriend to sit down with me and watch the entire first season. I am now proud to be a fan, and not as embarrassed as I now know that it is more than just a little girls show.

Yesterday Amanita Design released their teaser for new adventure game Botanicula on their youtube channel. Followed by an official blog post today found here (http://amanita-design.net/blog/)



unlike Amanita's previous games, which were designed predominantly by founder Jakub Dvorský. This game is headed by jaromir plachy, who has been one of their animators/graphic artists on Machinarium. He has a previous game made in flash called {plachý trpaslík} in English = "shy dwarf". http://amanita-design.net/plachy_trpaslik/ he has his own website which displays his collection of animation works and various web comics, sculptures, etc. http://www.jaromirplachy.net/

Botanicula is point'n'click exploration game created by Jára Plachý and Amanita Design. It's about a bunch of five friends - little tree creatures who set out for a journey to save the last seed from their home tree which is infested by evil parasites. The original soundtrack and sound effects are created by Czech alternative band DVA. Release of Botanicula is planned for early 2012.

With the supposed long wait before we get Samorost3, this is likely to be the only thing we see coming out of Amanita for a while, unless they get struck with some more side projects just as they did with "Osada"

I am sure that this will get a Steam release when it ships sometime in early 2012 :)

The teaser doesn't exactly get me excited.I guess to each their own. I don't see this as something exhilarating or even supremely interesting But I happen to have liked all of Amanita's team's work so far, both cooperative and solo.

I enjoy the change of scenery and colors, which seem lighter and more cheery than Jakub Dvorsky driven games, and while Jakub's games seem to have a much stronger focus on tangible (but odd and not so obvious) puzzles, which function realistically but have a mechanical feel to them. Jaromir, has an easier style of player movement, his puzzles tend to be more direct and obvious, but involve tactility, and maybe seem a bit less defined and more out there as far as execution is concerned.

I surf often I suppose. I find it fun, and it's a nice break from normal gameplay.

Your video could have been better. The first three minutes were all on very easy maps, and after that the screen was covered so it was hard to watch you surf that map. I haven't played the last map, but it looks fun.

I was watching 'Im a celebrity get me out of here' last night. A woman named Fatima had a glass helemt place over her head and filled with cockroaches and she had to endure this for 30 seconds.

But as soon as the cockroaches entered the glass helemt one of the little cockroaches went up her nose and was stuck in there for some time. In the end they had to pump nose flush up her nose to get the little buggy out. This made me sick really bad:eek:
