hey!

i just bought that complete pack and installed rogue trooper. when i start the game, all i can see are BLANK LINES instead of a real MENU.

when the games starts, i stand in a snowy landscape but can just move the mouse. not even the standard keys do anything (mentioned in the manual).

now. is this one of these games not runnnig on vista?

It runs fine on my Computer with Vista, but i had those problems too. After I switched the language vom german to english it worked. Maybe you can solve you problem with the same procedure :)

seems to be a widespread problem. have the same one on a perfectly maintained xp install. seems like steam can't decide what to install :)
I got the same, installed it in default (english language), the intro starts in german, the main menue only consists of lines.
changing languages doesn't help and besides, I don't wanna play it in german, no german would want that judging from the bad voice-over work in the intro :)

Well this game was pretty lagish in areas on my XP and I think Vista pre-SP1 in just a few places. Haven't touched it in a year maybe. I've just reinstalled it(Steam Version) last week, on Win7 64bit and so far no lag at all, in fact might have to reduce the mouse senstivity just a mite. Ain't that a trip. Very pleased so far. Nothing like the splash of true blue blood on a downed comrad. LOL

Gah I've just got this as part of a recent bundle too and I'm getting the lines problem. I tried changing the language to German and back again but that didn't help. This is hopeless! :( I'm running Win7 x64 by the way

Well I sorted it out myself. I copied all my steam files to another computer, tried verifying my files there and it found some missing (even though it didn't find any missing on the original computer), so I let it update then copied the files back to the original computer and it works now. Hooray.
