ok, this is a follow-up to my last post
I received a message from a "Ip Help bot" on my friends list
saying this:
"IP Help Bot: Hello, this is the Steam IP Help. We have detected that your account has been accessed across multiple IPs. This means that your account has been used over more then one (1) IP and we informing you that your account will shutdown within the next 24 hours.We will need the following information to figure out this case. (case #Aqur4487):
Your current Internet Provider:
Your current Email address:
Your current Username:
Your current Password:
If this information is not submitted within the next 24 hours there will be a ban towards your account.

as it stands now I am 99% sure this was a phising attempt
steam will NEVER ask for you account info and he did.
WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!!!

If you ever have a message asking for your user name and password. It's 110% a scam.
As stated before valve does not ask for that info.

yeah my account got stolen by a guy who said the excact same thing last year. (except he called himself "VAC" security.)

bah, just use common sense your account getting banned for using more then 1IP adress that is so stupid,how many million people do you think have an modem that changes ip everytime you reset it,thats what mine does im not banned yet lol,but yea steam never will ask for username and pass

that reminds me of this guy who was in this group, I sent him a friend request and a day later his account is made private, his pic is of STEAM, and his name was changed to STEAM SECRUITY.
