Umlauts missing in German version

Like it is said in the title the umlauts are missing e.g. in the selection menus. They are replaced by a blankspace. I hope that this will be fixed soon. :)

I have a similar problem with the italian version, every letter with an accent is invisible,

Good fertility is Buona fertilit(à), the à is missing. And the problem is global with every menu or sentence in the game.

In case someone finds this thread, here's the solution for the missing special chars.

The C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\children of the nile\languagetext.txt file in the final game has wrong encoding (it's OK in the demo). The missing umlaut problem can be fixed by saving the above mentioned file using the UTF16 (also known as UCS2) encoding. Any decent text editor can do this, I did it with notepad++ (Open the file, select Format / UCS2 Little endian, then save the file)

The file downloaded by steam is ~800k, the UTF16 encoded file is twice as big (but has the same content).

On the tiltedmill forums or website someone mentioned you should delete some fonts from you system. It's not needed and won't help.
