just snagged a couple renders and got a good pic from google to make this, it was originally just the picture, but I was feeling special so I added the l4d logos and the valve logos, don't know why the l4d1 is transparent and l4d2 isn't, but I don't care, anyways I might be on here more often, I just got my desktop up and running, if anyone remembers me, or cares, my system got f-d up by a massive virus, I had to wipe everything.... the hardest part was getting a descent god damn OS...

Probably edit it out. I'd recommend just covering it in the image with a bit of PS'd blur or something.

The bigger question is: How many steam users have Macs?
The even bigger question is: How many stem users want to be able to run Steam natively within OS X to set the stage for content?

Same. Plus, like I said, it opens the door for content to be deliveredfor OS X.
Personally, if another company beats Steam to it and has content, I'll probrobly be going with them.

Cool. Today on my Arch Linux install, I customized my own splash screen for the boot up, and I used mac4lin to make both my login and my overall gui very similar to OSX leopard.
The main difference is I don't have the top menubar, which I'm pretty ok with. That's one of the reasons I dislike OSX in the first place.

Yeah. Compiz is pretty sweet, makes steam look even cooler.
It's transparent because there is an option that makes it so that windows that have not been used in a while become more transparent than others.
Awwr. The top menu bar is one of my favorite things. :/
Well, I did slightly update it. I disabled my hidden XFCE panel and created another more like the top menu bar, just so I can have my notification area, menu, another clock, and shutdown button.
I need to fix the top left button, it was a quick job on my part. I'll gimp it some day.

Have to disable the Steam Community in game for CSS or it just wont launch, MW2 just wouldn't launch all of yesterday, but now its fine. L4D2 would load the VALVe logo, then the movie, then just close with no error or anything. Verified the game cache twice and it seems to be ok now. Thats it for now, lol.

Parallels and VMWare still require a windows installation. never used WINE. The first two are a waste of resources when you don't have a reason to be running a VM and not that great for gaming. Can't speak for the third.

Is that KDE4?
Last time I tried it, I couldn't stand it.
Do you like it?
I love it.
Before I was using KDE 4.x, I was using GNOME. I moved away from GNOME since I just didn't like it anymore. Before GNOME I was using KDE 3.x until I moved to GNOME because KDE's Interface at the time felt too bulky for my liking.
KDE 4.x combines the eyecandy I love with the simplicity I desire. That is this man's opinion though.

One reason I didn't like KDE is because everything was so "big."
It seemed like the start menu was way too simple and spread out, all buttons were massive, and everything was just too "ballooned."

GNOME is pretty nice. Right now, I like xfce4... but it's like gnome in a lot of aspects.

I'm guessing it's for infractions. Kind like the cards in soccer.
