lol. i just cannot stand players who cannot understand that this game is meant for teamwork and not splitting up. we begin the game and he immediately runs off on his own. we call to him to stay with us but he says "i am a pro at this level, have beaten it so many times." so we let him go since he thinks he that awesome. so it is the 3 of us with his character running like 20 rooms ahead and he finds his way to a tank and gets knocked down and literally screams over the mic to help. needless to say, he dies and starts saying how helpless we are. after him dying a few more times we get to the roof (of course this is no mercy) and he says he doesnt know whats gonna happen. we find out he played the demo dozens of times, so thats why he thinks he is pro. needless to say, we could not beat the roof defense with him running like an idiot.

and if you have the 360 version with no mic, you phail. thats it. just failure.

lol. i have the 360 version until i get my new computer, but anyone have similar experiences with uncooperative players?

I have. This one person sped through the first level of no mercy and into the safe room. We proceeded to take our time and complain that he wasn't a team player. He then came out of the safe room right as we started heading down the stairs, in order to SHOOT THE RED CAR AND ALERT THE HORDE.

he was votekicked.

Oh, wow. Things like that make me wish at least some form of the former merit system was still left in the game.

I just want to point out for some players, that staying together on expert means be in the same room, because if you are pounced by a hunter he can take all your health within seconds.
And stop strafing like crazy, the zombies wont headshot you, the players may if you step into theirs firing lanes!
And crouch when you obscuring views of other players.
And guard someone who is healing.
...this things are so obvious and yet...

and yet they repeatedly do it no matter how many times you tell em not to.

STRAFING = BBAAAADDDD....well for you not me. cause if you get headshot for strafing, you cant blame me for wanting you dead anyway ^^

ps, i DONT CARE how many times you beat a level, whether it be expert or easy mode, you are NOT 1443 on your own. this game's "director" likes to pick off people that go on their own by having a hoard come after them or a smoker from right in front of you or a hunter or.... -.-

I know I have a bad team when I we are all together, I turn around to shoot a horde of zombies attacking us. Get hit by a hunter, then realize everyone is all over the place and the hunter kills me pretty much in the first few minutes of the map.

There are people worse than that.

Today, Versus Mode. No Mercy, Subway station. We're in the middle of the fight, someone is being grabbed by a smoker. At that time none of us noticed that (we were fighting zombies). Just half a second later, someone gets pounced by hunter in front of me. I kill the hunter, and the guying being grabbed by the smoker screams for help via voice. I run over to him, save his ♥♥♥, revive him.
What happens? He called me "♥♥♥♥er" and started shooting me. God, please give those people brains... or kill them. >_>

I think that being all over the place has three major downsides. First nobody is watching your back and you get surrounded pretty quickly, secondly you have to check you fire which slows down players performance and as we agreed you are too far away to meele hunters of others.

People refusing to turn flashlight off when theirs a witch about. I ended up shooting one player dead as he refused to turn it off and always alerted her. We were all on low health and close to the end and we heard a witch which he tried to run up to...boom headshot.

Another reason to only play with friends. I would love to play with others, but this crap makes me not want to....

Encountered a player with some serious internet rage issues last night, looks like the kids have found this game.
Complaining from the moment the game started and mouthing off over the Mic to the other survivors about how bad they were.
This gentleman died in a pool of his own blood, I know because I cleared out the hoard that took him down, stood there and watched.
For the most part people seem to be pretty cooperative and polite but it is the internet...

Me and a friend were playing with two other guys who seemed to know each other. We all had mics and were talking strategy and stuff in the beginning of the game so I figured it would be a pretty good team.

About 10 minutes into the level, my friend and I get horded and get taken down by a smoker and a hunter as we are clearing the normals out. We sit there calling out for help and the other two finally get off their asses to save us (they had been sitting in the previous room doing nothing).

So I ask them what they were doing, since neither had mentioned that they would brb or anything that would indicate that they would be gone from the game. The one guy then asks the other if the text he sent had been recieved.

We were all on mics.....and they were sitting there with their thumbs up their asses texting each other...

Haha, one time my team was slow (I mean really slow, we were still at the ledge of no mercy 2 the subway and had been hit by like 4 hordes and like 10 zombies which were owning cause this was versus but somone would always have to go back and get more ammo or would always wanna hide until the horde left...) so i ran away luckily i got a m16 and made it to the finale room alone. the other team caught on and sent both hunters and the smoker on me and i got owned :)

- my team died as well to the tank (they never made it to where the trains were)

Spell check :)

i've seen some big points in the game, but nothing is more devastating for a team to finish the entire chapter with 0 points.

lol. i hate the ones that try to take control and be the "team leader" and make commands like we are idiots and expect US to be ready to move when he moves, and be ready for the hoard when he decides to flip the switch....after i tell him "hold on, dont flip the switch yet", one second later, he flips it and i get ambushed because i was looking for gas tanks and the idiot decided that he didnt care. ^^

What's even worse, is when that guy who rushes in No Mercy gets to the checkpoint, and uses every single medkit.

Generally when I play with friends, we decide on one of us to issue the general orders to the team. If you have all four players trying to issue strategy, it doesn't work.
But it really does suck, I agree, when some one who does not know what they are doing tries to run the show.
And yes, everyone, there are players out there who will rush and shoot at things they shouldn't, do things they probably shouldn't, and just blame the world for their lawlness.
But then there are players who work as a team in the environment and enjoy playing the game for competitive or casual play. These are the players you should be befriending.
And the other players, just submit an avoid player review, and chances are you'll never match with them again.
But if you're looking for a great group of people to play with, let me know. We're always looking to expand.

I have to add one quick note to the players who think rushing the safe house alone is worthwhile.
The survival bonus for one player surviving is x1. To anyone here who isn't really that great at mathematics, 100 x1 is the same as 100 + (100 x0)
The minimal health bonus you may receive is nothing compared to the bonuses you may receive if all players survive. Especially on the first stage when the level difficulty bonus is 0.
Work as a team to achieve maximum efficiency, or try to play one man army, make enemies, and have less people to play with.
You'd be surprised who you'd run in to. A great guy I play with online occasionally, but just recently added as friends has run in to me several times in quick match.

And all that is why I love the 'kick player' option ^_^

I was on expert in the last level on Blood Harvest, and some guy would wait in the train car until we were some distance away then sniper us. He was vote kicked like a Pro.

I hate to point players out like this, but I saw some of the people on the
thread that was posted offering gamertags.
Cryptorecon posts that he doesn't have any friends who play left 4 dead.
So, we started to play, I invited him into a group with six other friends of mine.

Okay people.

I found out why he has no friends who play.
So we're going to go down this list while I explain it.

1.) I love people who have microphones. I don't love people who don't know how to use them.
Cryptorecon didn't speak into his microphone once. Through two campaigns,
he never spoke. Not once.

2.) He liked to go rambo.
Explanation :
Either runs off on his own and gets killed, and, since he doesn't know how
to speak into his microphone, we generally had to chase him down and
"figure it all out," which as anyone knows, can be quite a nuissance in versus.
There would also be the issues where he would constantly go "afc" (That is
away from controller, since it isn't a keyboard.)
And then after struggling, we would back track to rescue him.
And he would pop a few shots at us from his shot gun.
You know, sort of as a "thank-you."

3.) Skill? What Skill!
No offense, crypto. When there are zombies and all, yeah, go ahead and
shoot at them, but please, pretty please, don't shoot through your teammates.
And I can't understand for the love of it, why he would run up to a teammate
who is hung by a smoker and pump a few bullets into the player with the
shotgun.
Melee attack, you ♥♥♥♥!

4.) Save Yourself!
you can probably guess what I'd write here.
He falls under that "ouch, it feels like a pugger, but it isn't" category.

I don't mean to flame. And this isn't that. It's a simple question.
Why play the game if you aren't really paying any attention.
And why plug a microphone in if you aren't ever going to use it?

I suggest, strongly, anyone who wants a fun game to keep cryptorecon out of it.

Yeah, that was a great game, we would be running along at a good pace, hardly getting slowed down by anything, had good communication. Then we would notice crypto's outline running back the way we came and get vomited on and then jumped by a hunter. So not only was he going rambo, but he was going rambo in the wrong direction. So he wasn't even useful for flushing out any specialist infected in front of us.

I think the mistake we made that game was actually going back for him over and over again.
