Very underrated game, but fun and entertaining. I bought it in the store and still play it from time to time.

just got it today, and it is definitly allot of fun, would be great to see another like this, but looking at the credits, it seems it was dedicated to the creator whom again seems has passed away, doesn't mean another company couldn't come up with something like it, but alas we shall see. Fun game for sure, sleeper hit, suprised I never heard of it till now.

Oh, it's awesome! Sometimes I just play it without going for the level goals, just for laughs.

The publisher and developer are both out of business, so it's not gonna happen.

Why should that matter? Any company should see how good a concept this is, change a few minor things, slap a different name on it and hey presto, you have what's in all but name, Ghost Master 2. I mean, how many games are there where you play the bad guys? There are nowhere near enough, and this is one of the best examples.

First thing, if this game worked out of the box, then maybe it'd be worth it, but throwing your money away because Valve is lazy on yet another game isn't helping anyone.

Not the way it should no. I had to go through a lot of work around and just spend the last hour getting it working. There's no way I should spend this long trying to get it to work. It's just sad a free game like Alien Swarm worked without problems, but so many other Steam games don't either because Valve didn't include the patched version (Red Faction: Guerrilla, KoToR, Ghost Master, Prey, etc) or because there is some flaw in the game itself. I don't like spending 30 minutes to get a game to work. If it was free, fine, but if I paid for it, even if it was 1c, then I value that 1c to have bought a working product. It's sad I've got every game working on my computer, even games from over 10 years ago, but this one does not.
It's working now, but only because of some crazy workarounds, and I'm not even done yet. I still gotta break out my hex editor and make it work in at the proper resolution and save my config files because the game crashes immediately if I try to load it from Steam. There are no patches (dead links) and the bonus content disappeared as well. I'm pretty disappointed considering a lot of people praised the game for its content, something I probably won't care enough to look at with all of these issues and workarounds.

Hmm well, if it isn't the latest patched version, it could be the creators fault with not supplying Valve with the latest one.
One game which I would have liked to have worked properly was Stubbs the Zombie. some reason it only shows video in 1/4 of the screen at a certain point in the game.
There's quite a few games I have played that didn't work right out of the box, or in this case on the download.
But Steam is only the distributor. It's up to the creators of the game to give the update.
And sometimes the case isn't the game either, it could be your hardware not having the new drivers to support playing it.
I am glad you got the game working, do you like it?

I just got it last weekend for .16 and this is a great game. I would certainly enjoy a Ghost Master II. I usually hate real time games but this one drew me in and kept me entertained and in the fun zone for almost 5 days. Sadly I finished the last mission today. ;(:( I'd like a sandbox game that never ends too. One where more new characters, ghost busters and military keep pouring in as you play with each wave that much harder to stop since they will attack more and use their plasmatci weapons on my army.

The biggest weakness is lack of replayability after you`ve beaten the time challenges. With about 5 more locations and 15 more stages to develop more ghosts it would be perfect. I especially miss more straight scares in the latter half of the game, since you are forced to pursue obscure quest objectives, solving puzzles and freeing spirits instead of actually scaring citizens.
If any sequel or rip-off comes out addressing this I would buy it at least...
The biggest weakness for many people is getting it to run at all.....
