Ok, I bought Empire Total War and other than the starting videos being a bit choppy, there were no problems. But whenever i try to start anything on it the loading screen sort of freezes. the loading bar gets to a certain point then it starts flickering BUT when i do it on the tutorials I can hear the tutorial starting and as i move the cursor around the screen it changes due to whatever it is on. This leads me to believe that it is a graphical issue. here is my PC info:
Pentium CPU 2.8GHz
2.5 gigabytes of ram
ATI Radeon X600/X550/X1050 series
ATI Radeon X600/X550/X1050 series secondary
if anyone can help it would be really appreciated and if u need any more info than what i have put just ask

I've tried all that and my system does exceed the requirements, and yet it still doesn't work.

There is a known bug with NVidia SLI causing a graphics error and crash, so disabling crossfire would be a good place to start.

Nope,

Who was the idiot that wrote code to get caught up in the SLI issue?

All I want is what I paid for. I did not pay for this debacle called "steam".

That was forced on me.

Go figure.

Try running it without crossfire mode on. Else, contact support (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1223-QROC-4460), and report a technical issue.

He doesn't have Crossfire, all modern cards show up twice because they support dual monitors, one listed for each output on the card.

To the OP, are you running Vista? Try updating your DirectX 9 to the latest version:

It seems the problem may be link to the graphical card. I too have a Radeon X600 Series and encounter the same problem when loading the battle tutorial. Does anybody have a solution to this. Can we change some of the settings or would we require a new graphics card?
