The use of internet prepaid card for buying through steam?
Well here in holland, We have alot of these things, 3 of them are wallie, pay2cash and ucard (Ibelieve or something like that).
Wallie, One of them has spread out across 8 countrys or so, and it will keep expanding because its such an easy way to buy things from the internet.
So, Valve, Or Steam, I would really like to see this payment method, which would allow everyone, buy theyr favorite games alot easyer, without having to go through paypal first etc if they do not own paypal, or have anything related to paypal.
Wallie uses a digit number similar to a serial key. Every wallie card is unique. and is allready supported by loads of game sites!
Alot of gaming companys allready use it, Mainly the MMORPGS. However, IT do be great for alot of us who cant purchase through steam to add this support.
http://www.wallie.co.uk/
www.Wallie.nl for dutch version
You can buy Wallie nearly everywhere for 5,10,20,50 euros.
+ Wallie supports multiple cards if you come short on wallie money if you purchase a game or whatever.
For Second Life (Its not a game), I purchased alot of stuff successfully, and I am sure everyone else uses it likes it.
So Steam, Add this option to the steam store, Your sales will boost alot! Specially with DLC!

There have been already quite a few threads about new payment methods on Steam, but they probably will keep the ones that you can use at this moment and won't add any, except the number of users of a certain methods would increase much, though it doesn't looks like there will be something else used as much as PayPal or Click&Buy. So you just need to life with them, or use a credit card.

Are those cards not Visa or the like? Over here we have 3V Pre-Pay Cards (https://www.3v.ie/). Basically, at payment you choose the Visa options as the vouchers act as Visa cards.
Could you use PayPal to purchase with the vouchers?

There are Visa prepaid cards ($25 for $20, $55 for $50, and you set your details online) here in the US and elsewhere, but I'm not sure if you have access to them. Might be some other ways, but now that I have a bank account I don't keep track of these things :(

For us Dutch I'd say adding iDEAL support would be anything Valve should do; pretty much every bank is covered by iDEAL so just about every Dutchmen can pay directly with it. No need for paypal, credit cards, wallie, or whatever intermediate.

It should be possible to buy wallets (tf2) with Wallie-card, that would be great! The younger guys who plays tf2 and don't have parent who wants to pay via Ideal, can use wallie card from their own money. Valve think about it! Wallie cards are in Holland one of most used payment method on Internet.

Probably not forgotten, but simply ignored. Creating extreme localized differences in payment solution costs money and time. I'm not saying it's right to not implement the best available solution but it's understandable why Valve wouldn't do that. The already supported payment solutions have a global reach and supported by multiple sites and such. PayPal is the ideal global solution for everyone else who can't or won't use their credit card.

HI, also some input from Japan:
Credit cards for online purchasing are not as popular as specific prepaid cards and also money payments via kiosks in the convenience stores. For the latter, payment can go through so quick, it's practically the same day.
Visa debit cards are rare and I know of only 2 banks which offer them. They don't have branches in my city. Prepaid Visa cards don't appear to exist in Japan, and I was going to use Entropay, which is offered by a UK company, but they cannot do AVS checks (for address) and thus, apparently will be rejected.
Me personally, cannot get a credit card because of my residential status here in Japan. Due to strict laws to combat money laundering (remember, Japan has the Yakuza!) PayPal and the like cannot connect to bank accounts for funding.
So, out of all the options available on Steam, only 2 work:
Credit Card and PayPal.
PayPal is so gimped by Japanese law, it defeats the purpose of using PayPal in the first place and without a credit card, PayPal is unfundable.
The best payment method to add for Japan is the convenience store payment. It is fast, easy and convenient.
Thank you. I would sure love to participate in some sales and not have to import retail boxes in order to redeem Steamworks games!
