TF2 Vista Theming

I'm working on theming my copy of Vista Ultimate, TF2-ish. If you have any suggestions, please post them here. I'll release the full theme when it's finished.

I'm thinking of getting the longer TF2 Trailer (Trailer 2) as my screensaver, but it would be a massive file ( >100MB )

XP is on life-support. Microsoft has just kept pushing the support date for XP further and further, and in a few months when Windows 7 comes out. XP will be cut and obsolete.

DevilsRefugee: You only need VistaGlazz (or manual patch of uxtheme.dll and associated files) to run the theme with the TF2 icon as the start button. I recommend VistaDeskHack, or it will show up in your themes list twice - "Windows Aero", "Windows Vista Basic", "Windows Aero" and "Windows Vista Basic", and you cannot tell which one is default windows and which one is my theme. To just change the icons you don't need any software. For the sidebar (or spybar as someone said) you need Windows Sidebar Styler. For the Logon screen you need LogonStudio Vista, and to make the text on the logonscreen black (otherwise it's near-invisible with my logon screen), you need to patch authui.dll. I'll work on a clip of dustbowl stage 3 cap 2, with the TF2 soundscape, once I get ULead installed.

The background (1280x1024) is in TeamFortress2.rar, but you can find it in other places on the internet.
Is it usable on Home Premium?
Yes. The custom start button is only available if you have Aero though.

I'm not sure the .theme works properly - apply changes like custom icons manuall.

You need to upload your files on megaupload.com , rapidshare only allows 10 downloads.

Also, i only want the taskbar theme, Its great.

I mean, all of it is pretty great, but i dont wanna download the sidebar as i find it annoying and im not that tf2 crazed :P

Try the latest version, and check that your files were patched properly (VistaGlazz - repatch them).

For some reason, i have administrator access but it still says access denied when i try to use the cmd files.

I keep getting this message in winrar.

GoldenLink: You need to right-click the CMD file (install.cmd IIRC) and click "Run as Administrator". Extract the TF2 rar to %systemroot%\resources\themes, usually C:\Windows\resources\themes. Which RAR file gives you the "Invalid or Corrupt Authenticity Information" error?

I'm willing to work with you on this... or steal what I need, give you credit on what's yours and finish it myself. Sorry, after upgrading windows and formatting and such, I no longer have the Logon Screen (you can make one yourself using the background image provided), or the patched authui.dll (you can patch it yourself with the link provided).

The Sidebar theme (TeamFortress2.wsstyles) was made in photoshop based upon the Halo theme included. It uses the program Windows Sidebar Styler (http://www.stoyanoff.info/blog/code/styler/).
For the logon screen, I used LogonStudio Vista (http://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/) and that pic of the sniper looking out over the field/plains/whatever.
