Missing decals, blood, sprays, bullet holes ect.

Type this in the console:

Is the radar gone?

Type this in the console:

cl_radaralpha 255

Are you missing the radar in spectator mode?

Hi,
the radar as spectator is different from the one as living, so it's also another command.

Type in console (or bind) "overview_mode".
like: bind "k" "overview_mode"

-press k once it will open a little radar on right top of screen.
-press k again it will show the radar in big. (to make smaller/bigger in specator mode by pressing CTRL and in spectator mode there is something like make radar bigger or smaller if i remember correctly)
-press k again and it will hide radar

ATI Light problem (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=821666)

Newer ATI cards does not support 16 bit textures and in some places it will make it hard/impossible to look thought the "rays of light" or "rays of dust"

It does not help changeing drivers. A workaround is to use directX level 8
when playing.

This is done by right clicking your shortcut to css and in the end inserting -dxlevel 81
or by right clicking the game icon in your games list and selecting properties - set launch options and then inserting -dxlevel 81

will solve this issue of yours.

Good thread. :)

You should add the rendering problem with newer ATi cards (fog) and fixing (well not completely but it helps) with "-dxlevel 81" in the launch options.

I just downgraded to wireless, and started having lags every 60. second.

Then i remembered this thread i made a while ago and got it fixed...

Please feel free to write me solutions problems you see on often on the forums. I will then add them to my first thread, giving you credit ofc.


EDIT: actually i just realised that the fix ive linked to doesnt work proberly anymore. Ill update when i find a new method. Or prehaps a reader know how to?

If you type all of the decal commands listed, in the console the sprays will
reappear.

If you have trouble with it, try putting it in your config. Way down in the bottom.

And
mp_decals is set to 50, not 200...

Put this in your config like i said.

Ive never EVER heard of the game removeing stuff from a config...

If it did, why do we even havea config to begin with. All settings are default when
you install...

I would like to know what command enables/disables the in-game web browser. I'm not talking about the Steam Community's in-game web browser feature, but the in-game browser where you can see stats, motds and such. Oh and, what does the command soundscape_flush do?
