Hi,

Was thinking maybe there could be a counter for Total time played for each game? Have a small indicator or some sort of place to add this in on profile or game view?

Not really expecting much support for this idea:)

I think there already is one?

For 2 weeks, not the lifetime total

That would be great.

We've been recording it since March or so. I just haven't had time to add it to the website. It'll be up soon--once I can find time to add it.

Sweet.

I wish I could see my total time played in Counter-Strike from 2005 though... or maybe I don't.

That's really nice. Too bad it's only from March, but I guess you started recording at the same time you started Blotter (my first entry there is from Feb 28.). :)

The blotter has been on since late last year; October, IIRC. The blotter and total time played are un-related features.

Great. I've been hoping for a while that it would be added.
Are Steam Communtiy pages still going to show games most played over 2 weeks though?

Yes, they will.

Looking forward to seeing it added. Its not super high on my wanted features list but still something I'd like see implemented.

Time and money are the main two reasons, I think.

I would like this feature to be optional as seeing that I have spent 300 hours of the last year playing Left 4 Dead makes me feel like even more of a loser than I feel on a daily basis. So thanks for reminding me that I prefer videogames over real life,, but if I could have an option to hide that from myself, that would be great.

Yeh optional is good, had to make my profile private.

Strange... I had 56 hours of TF2 totally played then it went down to 54.6

You shouldn't care what other people think about how much time you have spent on a game. The only people looking at this are other Steam users, who most likely play games a lot as well.

I don't want to see it for myself. I don't care if my wife sees it, because she knows how much I am in front of my computer. I don't like seeing it, because it makes me feel like a loser. I want to hide it from myself. (I know it's there whether I see it or not, but it's like a fat guy not owning a scale....what's the point?)

Don't be ashamed of it! Your not a loser just because you play games, I mean you have a wife so you must be doing things right! :)

Embrace what you love doing, don't be ashamed of it! We are all here for the same reason!

Is TF2 playtime also recorded since March? Because I can't believe that I've clocked over *00 hours on that game since then.

Yes, all games started at the same time.

Yes, all games started at the same time.

I'm not sure if it's possible with the way you store the data on playtimes, but allowing hours per day to be seen through the xml would be awesome :D Like: "28/09/2009 -> L4D -> 134minutes" or something.

Yes, all games started at the same time.

Ok then, reason why I've asked that question is because TF2 launched with global gameplay stats and I was shocked when I saw my playtime, so I had to make an excuse to make me feel better. :-)
