Well, I assume it´s going to come out on EA´s store, the same store that won´t sale games in my country or if it does it will try to do it with the insanely expensive euro.
So...Any chances of a steam release?

Apparently the pricing is going to stay the same as the console ones, whether it appears or not on steam is unconfirmed but there are enough people from all over the world (even japan and Uk) asking for it on steam.
The dev's have listened to everything else the community has had to say so i can only assume steam will be on their list for PC release too.

Game looks amazing.
I'm playing the demo on PS3 and it's really fun even knowing that i prefer conflicts based in the present than the old WWII games, etc.
I'd like to see this on steam.
Btw, Keyboard>Gamepad for this kind of game, so definetively i want this for PC.
FPS On gamepad= The SAX! :p

Can I come over and play Nobi Nobi boy? :D
Also agreed on the preference for modern warfare games, but it has destructible environments which is nice.

You know, I really hope they do release this one on Steam. This is about the only way I am going to be able to buy this game legitimately, after I moved away from my homeland, I am not sure where to buy this game.

for get it, there will be problems with punkbuster, example many bf2 servers kicking bcouse of the steam, if they manage to ad bf to steam i think they will deactivate ingame overlay etc

There no need for them to deactivate it many Punkbuster games are on Steam like CoD4 and such. Punkbuster just needs to add Steam gameoverlay.exe to accepted list.

Punkbuster kicks for anything, imagine if an antivirus program was as accurate as punkbuster is for hacks, not even norton could aspire to be that awful.
I remember seeing a video interview at E3 where a guy asked the producer some questions over the PC version and when he asked if it will use punkbuster the producer sighed and said yes. The expression on his face was classic like it was a begrudging decision.

What would a Battlefield game be without being kicked of each and every server with no reason at all?

Updating PinkBuster fixes issues like that 90% of the time :D

They could just use VAC and auto BAN everyone, without giving them a second chance. :D

Considering that EA has stopped releasing their new games on steam, I think it was a one time deal. I sure do hope to be wrong though.

it'd odd that EA has stopped selling their new games on steam, considering valve is a partner with EA nowadays, right?

Theres doubt over this game being released at all, let alone on steam now.

let's just hope they "work out" the issues of the game... giving us more people per map will be nice

Or probably Bad company 1.
Omg, too tempted.
EDIT: Bought BF: Bad Company mins ago :D

This game was delayed to 2010 on the PC, which is a shame because the only reason I wanted is because I needed something to play until OP Flashpoint 2 and Red Orchestra: HoS are released, so I doubt I'll get it now.

It is coming to steam!
@HerofTime64 If all goes as planned, yes, BF1943 will be on Steam

I'd like this here too. Plus it would help us veterans gain even more veteran points for Bad Company 2 unlocks ;)

Would u rather go back to cod2 style and see how it goes without punkbuster.
A lot of games simply use it as its the best system available...make a better one if you can :)
Like stated updating pb files fix over 90% of issues.
Imo anyone who hates punkbuster is
A: (obvious) Hacking/used hax
B: Is a tad simple, no offense :P
Hope it does come to steam thou, as much as i dislike the rookie elements of any "battlefield" WW2 is the shizzle. Bolt action rifles for people that can actually aim...just hope after all these years they put some effort into reducing hit boxes, more recoil etc.
If people want the realism with low sprinting/prone etc, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD put some real bullet deviation in dont make every gun so easy to use and DO NOT ALLOW GRENADES TO BE RESUPPLIED!
Introduce some skill to bf

I would definitely prefer to get it via steam the EA store and the EA-downloader I used for one of the BF2 add ones wasn't that hot.

2142 will be available on steam when the patch is released, not before, 1942/vietnam is not available on steam more likely because it is old, and EA hasn't put too many of their older games on steam....
