I think I speak for many here when I say that I would love to see a Special Edition for the Dig and Fate of Atlantis. These games are fantastic! :)

Well, yes. Although the Talkie Version of Indiana Jones - Fate Of Atlantis already is very decent. The only thing it lacks is acceptable sound quality.

If Lucas Arts still has Access to the uncompressed Speech, a graphically spiced up Re-Release with uncompressed Voices could be interesting. But honestly, first iŽd like to see a Monkey 2 Voiceover :)

I just finished playing through the team and wits path of Atlantis, and the whole time I was playing I kept thinking to myself "I remember the game sounding a whole lot better than it does. Music and sound effects are much more primitive than I remember."

Turns out I was right. :-(

That would be awesome.
I hope there are many people emailing lucas arts about that.
They could earn money for decades by re-releasing all of their old games.

I would say they should do that with Full Throttle, but to me, Full Throttle is good enough as it is with its cartoon looks.

If they redo FT, DotT or Sam abd Max I hope they keep the original art style. I would love to have those games with upscaled artwork and better audio quality.

I would play the dig if it was re-done. I just can't stand the old school pixel graphics.

They are so last decade.

I would also love to see some of the old titles remastered. I don't want to play them with the old school pixel graphics, but I would gladly buy this if they updated them like they did ToMI.

Well if they did it with Full Throttle, just hope they don't have to gather the original voice cast and get them to re-record their voices, because then they would have to get somebody else to do Ben since Roy Conrad is no longer with us, may he rest in peace.

They need to at least do it with Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.

I also think they should somehow reprogram Escape From Monkey Island to make it a point-and-click game like the rest of the games as opposed to that Resident Evil-style controlling the character that was all-too-difficult to deal with.

After finishing part one again(special edition)i can only say that would be great. Monkey Island 2 is one of my all time favourite games and with the music and all the details i would love to play a reworked version with the ability to switch back to the classic version. So lets hope the monkey islnad 1 remake will sell very well and they will think about doing that with more titles. Maybe even a remake of Jedi Knight 1(because i can count every pixel playin this game).

I believe LucasArts already made a special edition with a better... with more pixels.

I'd have been perfectly happy if they coded the new releases to use the superior sound blaster music and effects the game has instead of the adlib, tandy sound it currently outputs.

Yeah that would be great, but may be in a near future will be seeing more products with this "enhancements".

Yeah I agree, Atlantis is the game that look most dated graphicswise, and it's my favorite after Monkey2.
The Dig looked pixelated already when it came out. DoTT etc still loke quite good due to the cartoonish graphics.
I hope they add removed locations like Cadiz if they do an Atlantis SE.

I would oh so much love to see The Dig get revamped with new graphics. Sometimes you just have no idea what things are supposed to look at (the aliens on the screen vs. in cutscenes for example, they look nothing alike.)

Hello all Graphic Adventure Fans!!

After reading a lot of your posts, i'd love to post mine here too.
I am a GREAT fan of the most classic graphic adventures made by LucasArts and Sierra On-Line, but focusing on Lucas titles, the best for me were Monkey Island 1 and 2, Indiana Jones 4 (Fate of Atlantis) and, of course, THE DIG! In contrary of what was said by someone in here (and accepting his opinion), I think that the only "fault" in the THE DIG game was the 320x200x256 resolution, nothing more. And even considering that resolution, I must admit that that game was one of the best in terms of graphics. VERY GOOD 320x200 graphics, if not one of the best ever seen!

The dig is a remarkable game, with a mature plot and gameline. As far as I know, it should be a movie but it ended up a game. Anyway, I'd love to see Steven Spielberg to make the movie that it once was supposed to be! And I don't understand why we all (lovers of The Dig) don't make a petition to Spielberg himself to press him to make the movie! We could "bend" him to do it, i'm sure!!

Let's just hope that more new Graphic Adventures will be coming out soon. I guess that actually this genre of games is "rising" again, after a long time behind a dark veil.

;)
