Steam WFT? re: Commandos 2 on Steam

Ok,i purchased Commandos 2 on Steam when it was available and even though the publishers pulled it from Steam I could still install/play it through Steam. Now when I try to launch the game I get a "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." message and this has been happening for the last month.

Anyone else agree i should be pursuing a refund for this game I can no longer play?

Strange.. all my Commandos games still run, including Commandos 2.

hmmm unloaded and reinstalled, seems to be working now. I wonder what corrupted my install, oh wells.

hmm the link to commandos 2 is broken for me, so its out the shop? best commandos game in the series sadly..

The link to C2 via the Commandos Pack isn't working for me either; all I get is a test-shell error in the address bar, and it doesn't come up in the games list at all when I do a manual search.

I've never played any strat games other than a Company of Heroes demo/beta, which I enjoyed at the time. I'd buy this ($5 sale), but I'm wondering if it would still come with C2.

Once you bought the game you will still able to play it even if the publisher decides to remove it from steam, once you bought it the game is yours not steam or anyone else can remove it (unless you breach policy).

Just see steam like a normal store in your street the publisher can decide to let the store not sell the games anymore, but you still keep your game as you already bought it.

The error that the game is unavailable is a well known steam issue I get it with dragon age also, you could contact customer support they sigh able to fix it.

well i cant find commandos 2 in the results either... only shows up in the commandos pack, so they probably forgot to update that page to remove the game.

I did just bought the Commandos pack (steam deal), and it is downloading all Commandos including 2, (Commandos 2: Men of Courage 2,025.5 MB).

I can see the game on my list but i cant click it to even install/download it :(
It doesnt have the icon/cover either like th eother games (im using steam beta UI but all other games including the other commandos games are showing and installing)

anyone has this problem?

Using Beta UI Commandos 2 downloads and installs fine for me.

Grid image doesn't work however, but I never use grid view.
