The store pages have the cost to buy the initial game for a month and states the game requires a subscription fee... Just there is no information on how much this fee will actually be and no link to a site with this information.

Before I buy anything that requires a subscription, I would like to see what those subscription costs will be up front.

15 bucks per month/30 bucks per NCSoft game card(2 months).

Not hard to find info if you manage to use your brains.

my point is why should i go digging round for the full cost of a game?

all the info relating to the true cost should be there on the store page,

also what is that in £ (sterling)?

Might want to engage that brain then, because it's "whatever NC european charges for their other pay games". :) Maybe check the Aion site, the NC site... an MMO site...

I was looking for the same info you were looking for and ran across this so, I figured instead of being a jerk and criticizing you I thought I would post this.

As we know, Aion will be released as a subscription-based game. But how much will it cost per month and how many types of cards will there be available?

Finally, yesterday NCsoft announced that Aion Gold will start commercial service from November 25th, 2008 and there will be four types of prepaid game cards for choosing.

1-month card: 19,800 won (approximately 13.7 USD*), 300 hours for 30 days

3-month card: 47,520 won (approximately 32.9 USD), 900 hours for 90 days

3-hour card: 3000 won, (approximately 2 USD)

30-hour card: 12,000 won ((approximately 8.3 USD)

Compared to World of Warcraft and Lineage II currently operated in South Korea, Aion's 1-month and 3-month game cards are priced the same with World of Warcraft, while lower than Lineage II. However, it needs to be noted that there is not time limit for World of Warcraft's monthly cards, but Aion Gold is otherwise.

*[Update] based on current exchange rate: 1 won = 0.0006915 USD

The monthly fees are the cost for the server maintenance, and high quality service of the game. The retail price of the game's copy the other hand, is their price. Like any other video games you buy.
