I have been using many different methods to build my own bind config file, however it appears there are many different buttons need to be set to the same value in order for Silent Hill Homecoming to work properly.

I was also astounded by how random the keybind definitions were in relation to the action they actually performed.

I think I have ironed out all the unused binds as well as the multivalues (special action buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 for example) and written a simple excel sheet that builds the valid keybinds to whatever button number required.

I have not extensively testing this so I don't know how it works with other gamepads. I have a PCLine dual shock and all but the vibrations now work.

I also include a modified version of the default "binds_pc_mjs.cfg"(binds) file that comments out the uneccesary binds and leaves space for the modified ones.

Simple fill in the buttons required in column A, then copy the contents of column B directly into the modified binds file, start and enjoy.

If you have any problems with this file, please let me know ASAP and i'll look into it.

Download it from

Remeber I am trying to help those less capable here so no flaming.

Thanks

Today I have also started work on a VB app that recognises keystrokes and builds the file based on a similar interface to that used within other games such as SH4, and Far Cry, however it still will not get roun the problem of changing keybinds part way through a game.

Thanks
