If you are utilizing more than 2GB of RAM on a 64-bit machine, you may experience a crash while trying to launch Red Faction II.
If you have this issue, please try the following to limit the amount of RAM being utilized on your computer in order to play the game:
*Please go to Start>Run in Windows and type Msconfig.
*Click on the Boot tab and choose Advanced Options.
*Check the Maximum Memory box and change the setting to 2048.
*Click OK here and in the remaining menu.
Restart your computer and then re-test the issue.
