What is with the server search?

Is there a way to weed out the servers that are obviously fake and just redirect you? That's all there is now is just random fake servers. On top of that I can only get like 60 servers that are <100 ping to show up all of which of course are fake. Is there something wrong? Can I fix this at all? If nothing else can someone recommend some good NORMAL servers?

Steam server browsers are pretty random at best. Try Game Monitor (http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php?vars=&game=cstrike) when the in-game browser is playing up. It filters out the crap I believe, like the bot filled servers. It takes a bit of effort, but gradually build up a list of reliable faves and stick with them.
