[Bug] Changing in-game name via Friends

So some time ago the Valve games using the Half-Life engine were streamlined to use the Friends system for changing the in-game name, and the player name field was disabled in the process. But now neither method works!

original player name field in multiplayer dialog is disabled (greyed out)
Changing the name in Friends settings has no effect on the in-game name

Result: Players are stuck with the name "Player", unless they use console or edit the config.cfg. So could you please

either roll back and make the player name field work again
or make it so that changing the Steam Friends name does actually have an effect

Ok so I installed all multiplayer games from the back catalog, and this is the result:

Affected games: DoD, TFC

Not affected: CS, CZ, DMC, Half-Life, Opposing Force, Ricochet

In the games which arent affected, the name field is not greyed out and the note "Change your name using the Steam settings dialog" is missing. I suggest to do the same for DoD and TFC.

Somebody created a fix for this bug (http://cid-1bcc5bd24a241de4.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/DEV/fix/OptionsSubMultiplayer.res#resId/1BCC5BD24A241DE4!188), apparently it rolls back to the version that does NOT use Steam Friends. Anyway it works for me just fine, could you add it to DoD and TFC please, thank you.

Btw there seems to be another bug fix (http://cid-1bcc5bd24a241de4.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/DEV/fix/OptionsSubMultiplayer.res#resId/1BCC5BD24A241DE4!159), could you add this one as well? Cheers!
