Wow! I guess $200 can go a long way! And I just spent $90 on a pathetic 4550 at best buy. Acctually, I found a better deal on a PSU in a local Fry's store. Got 30 amps on the 12+ so it should be good? Its $49.99 and I don't like rebates, so I'm thinking of going with that.
With the graphics card, That looks great! +rep :D
My other specs are a Wolfdale Core 2 Duo 2.8 L2 cache 3 mb | 3gb of RAM | and a 250 gb hard drive. Got a HP case, but it is fairly new and seems to have enough room for even the biggest video cards.

I also highly recommend a corsair psu. What brand is that PSU vln? a good brand is very important for a psu. Also 30 amps is not very good if you plan on running a more powerful card such as a 4870 or a GTX260.
I agree with the 4870 recommended above, I have it and its a great card. Very good for that price and maxes all my games :)
some PSU brands I'd recommend are:
Seasonic
Corsair
Antec
PCP&P

Just be careful with "cheap" psu's. PSU's are one place that price can equate quality and a crappy psu can take your whole system with it when it decides to leave this world for the great beyond. If you can stick to Name brands Like the list above. I have always used Antec Myself and My 850w Antec truepower has lasted through 2 builds and multiple upgrades..and its still going strong.
Crappy psu's can be blamed for GPU instabilities and cpu overclock instabilities just to name 2. Your system runs on very very fine voltage needs and requirements and a cheap psu may not be providing the "clean" power stream you need.
**whoops..just noticed you must have responded whilst i was typing one of my long winded responses.

That antec would probably run a 4870 but it would be pushing it, and running a psu close to its max power shortens its life. I would get a better one to save you from failure (possibly damaging your other parts) later.

Corsair is a much better power supply company than Antec, I have heard of Antec Power supplys failing and ruining the whole system. You do not want to go cheap on your power supply. Its like saying do you you want to put Generic Motor Oil in your ferrari =P

Antec is not a bad psu brand, check this psu tier list:
http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx
Its just that one is a bit low end for a high end vid card.

?? i am on my 3rd Antec power supply and never ever had 1 single issue with them. The one i have Iantec true power 850w) in my current system is in its second computer and has been through multiple upgrades. The Antec 550w is powering its second computer at my parents house(it spent 2 years powering my gaming system and was stable as a rock) and my first Antec power supply is powering my admin system i use for server admin and map making.
i would like to see some documentation of Antec PSU's failing and taking out whole systems.
Antec power supplies are just fine and are in the top of the list of reliable PSU's. I recommend them all the time and install them on custom builds i do for others. and have yet to have a system crash or get "taken out" by an Antec PSU.
antec psu's have made it to this recommend list
http://www.silentpcreview.com/Recommended_PSUs
they're on Nvidias website as a recommended psu for various sli builds from mainstream to highend sli systems
http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html
they are on this list with review links
http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=589708
and Antec faired more then well in this review against 8 other psu's. Although the Thermaltake did fail this review.
http://www.legitreviews.com/article/348/
and antec psu's are on ATI's reccomended list as well for thier crossfire setups
http://game.amd.com/us-en/crossfirex_components.aspx?p=3
I could keep going but i have to get up at 4:30 am for work.
so please tell me how Antec psu's are "generic"???

I have read reviews from customer, a couple years ago I had redone my computer, i considered Antec but after what I read, i did not want to take the risk.
