Press and hold F8 as your computer is booting, after the first "POST" screen and before the windows logo pops up. Set it to start up in Safe Mode and see if it boots.

Alright well that narrows it down. Either something in the hardware is screwed up, or the core components of windows have been damaged.

Do you have an XP boot disk? (If you have the box version of XP you do) If you put that in, the computer should boot from the disk and you can run a repair from it.

I've experienced that, did you get BSOD?

If you got BSOD, its related to your motherboard opinions (Should be factory default).

If it just simply froze, it could be your PSU not giving enough power to your RAM.

Its what I've experienced in overclocking and fiddling around with settings... I'm not expert in this area.

I did get BSOD before formatting.

So i did a Repair first, no luck froze on XP logo and no more BSOD, then i tried a format, no luck. And i also loaded default bios before and no luck, so i will try power supply. Thanks!

New power supply did nothing.

Try zeroing your hard drive. If that doesn't work, it's probably dead. Did you SMART test in the BIOS?

If it comes down to it, you might want to do the process of elimination. Disconnect everything you don't need to start up the computer.

For example if you have the ability to use integerated graphics, use that instead.

If you have 2 sticks of RAM, try them both but 1 at a time.

Take out sound/network cards, unplug DVD drive.

Do you have any spare HDDs to temporarily install XP on? (Make sure not to active XP if it does boot unless you plan to stick with that drive)
