How do you hook up a 360 and PC to the same monitor. I have a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW.

Plug them in and make the monitor display what you want with a button or in the OSD menus.

It would be a lot easier if your monitor has two digital inputs but unfortunately there's only one VGA and one DVI port.

I'd say get a DVI splitter like this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882339131&cm_re=DVI_splitter-_-82-339-131-_-Product

The single connector goes to your monitor, connect your PC to one port, and use a HDMI to DVI cable to connect your Xbox to the other connector. I don't know what would happen if both the PC and Xbox tried to send signals simultaneously though.

You can get the X360 VGA cable. Buy the official one, since 3rd party ones use ♥♥♥♥ty quality cables and because it's an analog signal, quality matters. You can get resolutions up to 1920x1080 that way and your monitor's 1680x1050 is offered as an option too.

You can also try using a real switch, like this:

Just use an HDMI cable if your monitor supports it then switch which output you want.

Do what he says.

I got a BenQ 2410HD. I got my PC plugged in with DVI and my 360 through VGA.
Both are showing a beautiful 1080P, the orginal VGA adapter is worth it's money.

I didn't realize that the 360 had an official VGA cable because that is what I need. I have two VGA plugs in the back of my monitor. Thanks.
