I have an HIS HD 4670 512MB and It seems that every driver update I get worse FPS in firefights. However, TF2 has updated several times as well and people say they get less FPS since those updates. So, if anyone is running a 4670 can you tell me which Catalyst drivers work best for you?

I have an old PC which I have to shove coal into but I still think there's something fishy about the latest Catalyst giving me lower fps.

9.8 is currently the best. 9.9 has issues with certain cards.

bwahahahaha. XD

But yeah, the updates are doing things to TF2. The occasional reinstall of TF2/Windows might solve that as well since it will get cluttered.

Steam keeps the games so that they only work with the latest 2 drivers for ATI cards. So since 9.9 is out u have that or 9.8. every time i have a driver thats out of date by two or even 1 i get the message saying driver update needed. but its always good to keep up with the latest drivers. This is do to the fact that they are ment to help for some games but in that process they might kinda make things worse for others.

Also TF2 is CPU demanding and that GPU (graphics card) should easly handle TF2 maxed.

Well, Steam will warn you if your driver is old, but you can certainly use age old drivers if you want.
