Other Bioware games are on Steam, so im curius if this new rpg from them will be on steam aswell?
The game looks fun and im a rpg fiend, wondering If i should order it online to be delivered in the mail, or if its coming to steam?
Thanks for any info!

It will come. EA said via Twitter that they are planning on bringing all future releases to multiple digital outlets including Steam.

Steam takes a larger cut than other digital outlets, which might be a reason EA games are launching later on Steam... try and get all the profit you can from elsewhere before you launch here.
That is just me hypothesizing though.
I'll be getting Dragon Age through retail with the Collector's Edition... looks lovely.

There's been a few notions that Steam actually causes other vendors to drop their royalty cuts to match Steam, so this isn't exactly true.

I'm actually in the market for the Digital Deluxe edition. Doesn't have the fancy box and maps the collectors edition has, but it gives you all the DLC as part of the $65 dollar price instead.
I'll wait for the Steam version until Nov 1st then I'll just have to buy with D2d or Impulse, since I want to be able to get the pre-order bonuses as well.

It is probable a decent game. However I will wait a year so I can get the full version for one price. They seem to think they can gouge people with this release. Means Mass Effect 2 will probably go on my waiting list also. Greedy developers don't deserve $50 for a content stripped game.

You realize Dragon Age is a massive game with 100+ hours of quests, 8 different openings that last hours plus a modding tool included at release, right?
I mean, seriously man... not worth $50? What are you smoking?
A large portion of the gaming community has shown they like DLC to add on to a game... it is something companies are responding to. If you don't like it, don't buy it, but don't act like Dragon Age is a "stripped game".

To me, here's the situation.
Dragon Age = Bioware
DLC = EA
Simple as that.
That said, I also am waiting for a Steam Preorder announcement, I'll wait until last few days and if it doesn't show up, I'll just buy it from impulse.

I don't think he has a problem with the game having DLC, but the game coming out with DLC the day it launches. I mean, couldn't this day one DLC be included on the disc since they are both launching on the same day? From a consumer point of view, it looks like they made the game and cut content from it so they could make a quick buck off it by making it DLC, or you could not give a ♥♥♥♥ and think otherwise.

Not really the real reason dlc is coming so soon is that they had a different team working on dlc since dragon age has been done for over 1 year it was delayed on pc since it had to come out same day as consoles so the that is why game been done for 1y +

If you guys haven't yet, GiantBomb has a 20 minute video of them playing the PC version of the game. No story elements so no spoilers, just combat. They did mention that some things seemed to have changed during the delay.

Just because the DLC is ready at launch does not mean it was ready before the game went gold. More importantly, it does not mean the content was originally designed to be in the main game proper.
There have been annoying uses of DLC... the locked door in the main game of Oblivion to the Orrey that only unlocks when you buy DLC. The multiplayer mode on the console version of Resident Evil 5 was just a few kb's of data, so the mode was there from the start and should have been. I agree there are DLC crimes.
I just don't think Dragon Age is one of those, due in part to how massive the main game is already, and due to the content description sounding like DLC, not main game content.

Cant wait for this game!!!
Looks awesome!
And for those that said it sucks because of DLC, the game without the DLC will be awesome and have tons to do. The DLC is just a small bonus that DRAGON AGE/Bioware fans can add to the game.

From what I've heard, you'll be able to once they set up the Steam store page. Pretty sure I saw that on the Dragon Age forums, but check out that link to the Dragon Age/Steam thread there.. there should be more information on Dragon Age coming to Steam.

This game looks great. I'll definitely pick it up one of the first few weeks that it's available. While the DLC thing pisses me off, I'll have so much game to play, that by the time I finish, chances are the DLC price will be reduced. If not, I have a number of other games to hold me over until then.

And I bet it'll be yet another regionally restricted game meaning I'll have to ask a relative or friend to gift it =S
