Friends question

Is there any specific reason why there's a friend limit? I think it's 250, and I keep hitting the limit whenever I want to friend someone. I spend a lot of time filling my favorite TF2 servers, and it's nice to have ~100 people online to invite. I seriously hate having to delete people, but it's necessary sometimes since my server's group is nearing 1000 members and I always friend the best of us.

Is this something that can/will be changed in the future, or should I just find a way to deal?

Create a group and invite all the people you want on your friends list that aren't *as* important as the 250 others to it.

Yes. You can send them messages and stuff too.

That's the whole idea behind the community groups, so that you can get everyone together (from a clan for example) and not have to add every single member to your friends list.

Members of a group that you are a part of also show up in your friends list under their respective group.

They won't since if the group is going to be made up of over 1,000 members they won't show in the Friends List. Not sure if you can invite people via the Steam Community though. :S
