Searching gets disabled from time to time..
And when its enable it only works in 30% of the times (properly).

Search it temporarily disabled. However, you can still use Google to search the forums.

How might one use google to search the forums?

To search the forums with Google, you'd enter something like:

site:forums.steampowered.com forum search disabled

into the search bar. Using the above search, here are the results (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=site%3Aforums.steampowered.com+forum+search+disa bled&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=b8148470ea1f7ec2). You can use all the search operators that Google offers to search the Steam forums, which is great.

But remember:

site:forums.steampowered.com

needs to be at the beginning of the search bar. Put a space after it and enter your search terms as you normally would on the forums, or use the more advanced Google operators.

EDIT: Right, sorry.

Any questions, just ask.

EDIT: Let's say you want to search a specific forum. In this case, I want to search the Left 4 Dead forum for information about Crash Course:

site:forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=130 crash course

You get these results (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=site%3Aforums.steampowered.com%2Fforums%2Fforumd isplay.php%3Ff%3D130+crash+course&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=b8148470ea1f7ec2).

Last I checked, site search only works for domains, and not anything else you would find in a URI.
