Okay, so i have been having this since the latest steam client update. Every time i restart my PC and turn it off and on the next day, It is ALWAYS updating the same thing i did days ago.

I need help with this A.S.A.P

BTW i have tried deleting clientregistry.blob and that didn't help at all...

The last thing i want to do is reinstall steam because then i have to download all my games again.

Thanks.

Do you have some paranoid security features enabled?

I have the same problem. Started about 2 weeks ago. At first I thought my account had been hacked because it kept logging me out and re-asking for my password, but I changed it, and now every time I log in, steam wants to update and about 50% of the time I have to re-enter my password.

I asked my friend if he had this issue and he too does. So at this point I'd assume Valve knows of this problem. Just wonder if their going to fix it... 2+ weeks Valve, come on.

Had this same issue some days ago, with Steam constantly 'updating' and then asking my password.

Was sorta suspicious of the behaviour, but it passed and everything's been working fine ever since.
