I have sto wiki open nearly every time I play. Nothing has shown up on my weekly scans, and I haven't had any account compromised as far as I can tell. I don't see any trace of the software mentioned in the thread, either. I'll be running some extra software before logging into anything, and changing all passwords.

I would imagine Firefox or Chrome with AdBlock (or FlashBlock) would help.
And very wise security precaution. More people need to be careful with their login details.
Especially since Cryptic has the policy of "unless it was our fault, you're
♥♥♥♥ out of luck" when something goes wrong.
