Workaround Discovered!
I found a workaround!
1) Go to the Beat Hazard.app in your Steam Applications directory
open Finder
Select Go-> Go To Folder (Shift+Command+G)
Enter "~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/beat hazard"
2) Get Info for Beat Hazard Mac
Right Click on Beat Hazard Mac
Select "Get Info"
3) Check the box for "Open in low resolution"
Close your windows.
From now on, when you launch Beat Hazard, all will work!
