Windows 7

The TAGES drivers included with this game purchase are incompatable with Windows 7, so the game cannot be run there without a no-TAGES patch.

Pretty sad, actually...I'm going to request a refund.

If the issue is still relevant to you can go to http://www.tagesprotection.com/main.htm and download the latest driver which works fine with Win7

This is one good reason to keep Windows XP on another partition.

The game works well on Windows 7 64bit, no issues.

Is the Steam version the same as the retail version (panzers cold war 1.1.50.141) ?

I had to upgrade the Tages drivers on the *retail* version as one of the posters above pointed out:

http://www.tagesprotection.com/main....ge=minimum.htm

After that fix, that version worked fine for me on Win7, also on Win7/64.

However I don't know if the Steam version also uses or needs Tages (?)

TAGES & No copy serial key to clipboard

Very annoying - Tages installer fails in windows 7 x64, and the 'view cd key' dialog doesn't have a copy to clipboard option like every other game.

Atari has to be one of the shoddiest publishers ever - the game does't even exist on their website anymore. ridiculous.

Even once you get it running, the game is still fairly mediocre - gives you a full list of keys to remap, but 99% of them are locked for some unexplained reason, and no indication of how to actually unlock them.

the video's (loading screens etc) for me play as a black screen - have to alt-tab in and out of the game to get them to actually show up.

the deal-breaker for me however is the jarate-poor controls and inability to remap keys.
