All your minor annoyances
Let's list the minor things that annoy us so the devs know to fix them, big things would warrant their own threads.
- Binding both special skills to the same button is silly, we have tons of keys so why not use two? It's easy to input the wrong move by accident. - Giving orders when incapacitated makes you give them at whatever you were aiming at before you got hit, not what you're looking at now so you cannot give orders. - Pointing at the red cross sign on an incapacitated ally should always mean a resurrection order even if something is in the way (especially a wall, they're usually behind cover) - Revives and environment interaction should always take priority over changing weapons, it sucks when you try to revive a team mate and notice you're standing on a dropped weapon so instead of reviving your character changes his weapon. - Would be nice to keep the weapons you had at the last checkpoint because you likely adjusted them for the current situation, going into a long range cover fight with a firefly sucks (come to think of it, I can't think of a situation where the firefly doesn't suck). - Put checkpoints AFTER cutscenes, not before! - Crosshair for Grenades
- Crosshair for Special ability charge attack - Skippable cut-scenes - Better sprint animations - Add a "charge sound" to the Special ability attack (same key is fine I just want to be able to hear when it's ready after I press and hold the button) - Character Selection after you join a game. (seriously, all the filters for available character and selecting character before you join is redundant, there's not much of a difference between the characters so I doubt anyone even cares, it's more important to find a game with good ping and three other players) - Better gamepad support (I pretty much bought this game because I could play with a gamepad, but it turns out it's too hard to use a gamepad because of the lack of aim-assist and analogue steering) You should rename the thread to All your Minor Issues, it looks messy due to the word-filter that censored whatever you wrote.

A few corrections/additions to offer based on my point of view. And I'm not quite so good at the whole point-form thing.
-You're incapacitated, you shouldn't be able to give orders at all, where you're looking or otherwise. -On a PC, aim-assist is synonymous with aim-bot. How is it fair that you should have assistance and the rest of us shouldn't, because you choose to use a thumb-♥♥♥♥er? -The code is already in for removing cutscenes. All co-op requires in this respect, is an option to change between the current style of play, and an online, 4-player version of action mode. (Action mode seems to strip all the story elements from the gameplay, from what I've seen of it so far. For those of you who haven't tried it.) Speaking of, this is a co-op game, and even with 4 players working together, I enjoyed playing action mode (by myself, non-co-op) more, for that very reason. I didn't have to wait for longer than a map load after every death. -Upon death, there is no reason to confirm a players choice to load last save. It's a redundant, extra mouse-click. It's valid for disconnects, quits, and hardware changes that require a program restart, everything else just gets annoying, and promotes end-users that click on dialogue boxes without actually reading them. -I agree with the point about revive/weapon switches, and it's a fault not unique to this game. Weapon switching should be the last thing that function looks for, and even DICE dropped that ball. I can't count the number of M-COM stations I've had to watch blow up in BFBC2, because so many of our team had died defusing it, that you couldn't find a spot around it where you wouldn't swap kits with something on the ground. It's not quite so dramatic here, but it's insanely frustrating to die yourself, because you took too much fire trying to sort out the 'wtfwhyamInotrevivinghimargh' feeling. Grrrrrr... ![]() -AIs that go out of their way to stand in your line of fire. -Having to edit config files to do basic key binds. There's so much that's been done well in the game, that it's confusing to see some of the silly things get missed. Last edited by TMMDelta6: 04-12-2010 at 01:18 AM. |

There's already an aim-assist option, and using aim-assist with a mouse usually screws too much with your aim that it gets harder to aim instead. |

Editing the title of the starter post doesn't change the thread name in the forum listing...
