Is anyone else experiencing the game crashing to desktop after the map loads?

same thing happens here
doesnt matter if i try to connect to a public server or i try to play offline, after loading is complete game crashes

Just downloaded the game and having the same problem. When joining or creating an online game, or offline practice, the moment the loading finishes, the game closes out.

What hardware are you running the game on?

Same issue. Anthon II x4, 6gb ddr3, xfx radeon HD 5850 1gb.

I got it too, crashes without any error message to desktop after loading is finished.

Intel Celeron 2 GHz
1 GB RAM
ATI X300
Windows XP

And don't tell me I don't meet the requirements I can run L4D2 just fine.

No problem during loading one ! Its effecting ATI, Nvidia and Intel.

Game completely locks up for me after loading the level.

Same problem... all my com specs far exceed what is required except I have Radeon X600 and the min is X800 ._. I can run every other Valve game with it though and get stable fps...

The game crashes my whole computer.
Screen goes black and scary noises are heard through the speakers, as soon as a grenade blows up.

Turns out the screen will not always turn black but rather some random color.
