Not gonna happen. Netbooks have ♥♥♥♥ GPUs, unless you're running an Nvidia ION then MAYBE.

Check the system specs, requirements for Foreign Legion are on the store page.

the question is pretty clear, i ask if someone ever tried to play this game on a netbook. as i think that some user experience says more than a list of requirements which barely fits a netbook at all. you might want to compare the specs from this game with the specs from torchlight, which should run on a netbook, as it have a netbook mode. (thanx to an activation problem i have no conformation that it will really run on a netbook) anyway, thank you Saijin_Naib for your answer. guess i will not buy a 2nd copy then

I'll say this, on a VIA C7-M 1.6ghz netbook with 2gb of DDR2 633mhz RAM and a VX800 Integrated Graphics Chipset (DX9), I can barely push 20fps @ 1024x768 in CS 1.6
The GMA 950 (most common netbook GPU) paired with the Atom @ 1.6ghz will perform about the same as this hardware setup (slightly better due to HyperThreading). So, don't expect wonders. However, you are allowed by Steam User Agreement to use your content on multiple PCs so I advise you to test your current license of Foreign Legion on your netbook and report back to us your findings

that's the problem, i can not test it myself. the person i was thinking about to gift this game lives some 10000km away from me. if i would have access to a netbook then i would have tried it on my own already
![]() btw. are you sure that your netbook runs at 1024x768? isn't 1024x600 the common resolution? and when you say CS 1.6 you don't mean the source one right? |

I mean CS 1.6, as in CS 1.6 (GldSrc, the one before Condition Zero).
Yes, 1024x600 is the most common resolution but 1.6 does not support this resolution nor recognize my display as widescreen so I have to use square-aspect sizes. |
